About PWFM :

PWFM is a platform created by the end of 2015 in the aim to put forward the young producers of electronic music. Collaborative and community-based web-radio, media, label, promoter but also a community of more than 20,000 people, the young project accompanies the up-and-coming artists by proposing springboards that permit to win experience and visibility. 

In 2016, Provocative Wave for Music decided to press its first vinyl. Faithful to its convictions, the platform offered to young artists the possibility to register on the website, and then let the listeners vote for their favourite producers. A few months later, the 6 talents the most acclaimed (P.O, Paul André, LEOZ!NHO, YRNEH, AIROD and EKLPX) were chosen to be part of RECORD001 : the side A is composed by House tracks and the side B is more Techno. 

Praised by the specialised press like Trax Magazine or Hard Life, the team decided to take another crack at the experience for a second time. Same system, with more than 150 registered producers, to finally finish with 6 artists selected by the web-radio’s listeners. 
This time, we will find Cogan le Berbère, Troyon and Lone Wolf for the side A, that will be a mix of house, acid and melodic techno. 
On the other side, the acid will be present again but this time enrolled with tracks more percussive and techno, composed by Denise Wright (a woman, yes!), Predacid and Damia One. 

RECORD002 intends to be a vinyl with multiple facets and aspirations. Obviously, the prevailing desire is to introduce young talents, that will compose the tomorrow’s scene, among a novice or informed public. 
Eclectic by the choice of its tracks, the path and universe of each artist, this record wish to offer a musical trip, while touching the maximum number of persons, without limitation to a particular musical genre. No need to be confined to a musical genre, the richness of RECORD002 come and meet the multiple personalities of its artists.
Young French project, PWFM aspires to develop the springboards, to brighten up the curiosity of music lovers (or not), help and push the young scene, and wish to obtain their adhesion to expand its community.

About the track :

The difficult task of introduction to this trip is given to the artist Cogan le Berbère. Self-taught since forever, his influences are diverse and are coming as well from rock as funk. It follows a deep desire to mix different styles. 
Tanzacid is the perfect example of the willingness of the artist to mix genres: the gliding ambiance becomes groovier with an “acid bass”. But above all, what marks the minds, it’s the addition of vocals of Tanzanian warriors (called massaï), that leaves an incredible impression.

Optimo Trax reaches no. 33, the final number in the series (although reserving the right to return at some point). The last release is a 3 track EP from Montreal’s @Solitary-Dancer that ends the label’s run with a distinctly non 4/4 feel.

We asked Solitary Dancer to say a few words about this EP to which they responded with  - "Recordings inspired by archetypes existing within a hypothetical matriarchal society and how that may pertain to our present day reality.”

Optimo Trax 33 -  Solitary Dancer - In The Name Of The Mother 12" EP (sampler)

After his appearance on Born Free Records, Rollerboys Recordings, and Rett I Fletta, Johannes Wilkström aka Yourhighness contributes to Cocktail d’Amore Music with Stratofortress. 
The Berlin based imprint gathered techno guru Rrose, Born Free Records owner Samo DJ, and international Japanese wave representative Gonno, to offer an EP with a wide range of interpretations of the title track. 
The original mix is an acid based, industrial influenced techno banger. Highly energetic, for sweaty late-night dance floors. On the same side Samo DJ transforms the techno blaster into a funky EBM ballad, characterized by a deep male voice and a breakbeat groove. 
Rrose is on remix duty on the B-side. Stratofortress suddenly turns into a dubby, everlasting build up, that eventually implodes in the depth of a black hole.  
Closing the EP Gonno offers a slow-mo rework. Deep and very cinematic, this remix will please every Cosmic Hole connaisseur.
