Who is Nicky Venus? Maybe that's the wrong question. Maybe we should be asking where his haunting and hypnotic music comes from. We know this much: there was the one that got away, and an attempt to mend a broken heart that led to a global adventure fueled by pain and lust. We know that the debut collection of lovelorn, carnal dispatches from Nicky Venus was conceived on the road.

With nothing more than a laptop, backpack, and an unmailed letter, he searched the world and eventually found himself in The East. From Manila to Tokyo, from nights lit by moon and candlelight to those drenched in the glare of LED and neon, from humble villages to extravagant hotels and nightclubs, NV found inspiration in the heart and soul of Asia. The result of his journey is the album Little Runner, a highly danceable album about suffering for love.

Sol Flare a.k.a Dominic Wood combines 80’s synths, electronic beats and soulful vocal lines to create his own unique style of melodic electronic.  

2018’s ‘Chroma’ EP and the following string of singles including ‘Blueshift’, ‘Retrofit’ and 'Coloured by the Sound' saw support from BBC Introducing, London Live, 6Music & Amazing Radio. While based in the UK, Sol Flare performed well-received sets at Blue Dot, Kendal Calling and London Live festivals. Early 2020 saw Sol Flare take his energetic live set on a run of Australian club shows at Oxford Arts Factory, Melbourne’s Laser Highway and the infamous Elsewhere in Surfers Paradise. 

Now based in Melbourne, Sol Flare has kept busy during lockdown finalising upcoming releases and organising numerous international streaming festivals as co-founder of Synth Stream. 2021 will see Sol Flare return to the Australian club circuit, before more shows and releases later in the year.

We love developing artists.

We've built an innovative and pioneering in house team of 10+ passionate music loving staff alongside networks of trusted external professionals to help us progress careers, campaigns, brands and everything in between in the music and creative sectors.

We run hundreds of shows, festival stages and tours every year and have no plans to slow down! We love to lead by example and are proud to be trusted and relied upon by many.

By setting no limitations in style or instrumentation and by embracing a human, emotional discourse within his electronic soundscapes, re:tract (multi-instrumentalist and producer Matt Gill) crafts dense, honest and often heart wrenching musical worlds to lose yourself in. With a sound that incorporates elements of downtempo, chillwave and trip-hop and coupled with inspiring visual concepts and content, his previous singles Who Am I and About You both picked up BBC airplay support and his debut LP was selected for editorial coverage with iTunes in June.

With an authentic passion and humanity always a driving force in his music, re:tract’s live performances (remixing on the fly, live synths, live vocals) have included main stage sets at Soundwave Festival in Croatia in both 2015 and 2016 alongside Mr Scruff and Andreya Triana.

Annual FREE Metropolitan music festival, now in its 5th year, that takes place in Barnsley, South Yorkshire in 18 town centre venues with over 150 bands and over 600 musicians of all genres taking part.  Over 5,000 music fans are expected fill the town this year.
