I put this selection together for the @lifesaversnyc 010* party to reflect my mood and the mood of my peers at that moment in time. For me specifically, this was a channel to express my emotions toward the Palestinian genocide. Weeks before, I had dedicated my Lot Radio show** to calling for a ceasefire and expressing my frustration at the situation but due to the format of my radio show, a single-subject retrospective, I felt the need to create a subsequent mix where I could connect disparate and varied sounds to culminate into a single message. 

Leading up to the event**, I'd spent time with Jordy and met Zarina at a Palestine Forever event. Just like with my other friends and acquaintances, the genocide dominated our conversations, doubly so considering the DJ-industry-specific conversation around Berlin radio station Hör. I wanted to comment on these relevant topics with this mix, selecting stalwarts of the Berlin music scene, like Shed, and colliding that against an Arabic 45 I collected back when I worked at Captured Tracks record shop. 

Considering the wonderful company I was in on the bill too, I felt a responsibility to open up the night with a pointed sonic direction that I could hand off to the other DJs.
