Musik Gewinnt Freunde returns with a brand new chapter called “Floating EP”.

This time signed by Swiss Manuel Moreno and German Mario Aureo. These guys are well-known for stunning releases and remixes on prestigious labels just as 8Bit, Knee Deep In Sound, Ritter Butzke Studio, OFF or Hive Audio.

And now they finally present their first release on Musik Gewinnt Freunde featuring three stunning tracks combining melody and groove in such perfect balance we are sure you will be looking forward to be playing them in your next sets. 

The combination of epic and dreamy atmospheres with a solid and extremely danceable rhythm and baselines is definitely these guys‘ signature. Each track explores different shades of contemporary electronic music making this one an EP not to be missed!

02 Manuel Moreno - Get Lost (Original Mix) Snippet

Rowee (@roweemood) is the new project from the celebrated Italian DJ and producer Leonardo Gonnelli (@leonardogonnelli), here dropping four fresh tracks on Steve Bug's Audiomatique label. The Egypt EP sets out its game plan early with the title track - a heads down tech-house slayer that is both deep and driving, and the perfect home for the sublime vocals of Forrest. 

Kocleo’s (@kocleo) remix of Egypt is even deeper, pushing the vocals right into the front, and supplying a trippy, arpeggiated bass line for the track to hang off.

The EP also features a collaboration with fellow Italian (now based in the US) Simon Wish (@simon-wish), whose 'Art Revolution' is a deep bomb containing a spoken word vocal with a message.

'Clock' is the closing track here, and again proves the prowess of Rowee at the mixing desk - the track is a tightly constructed groover - packed full of energy and the perfect track to drop on a tiring dancefloor.

Following on from the Rebellion release at the start of this year, Italian producer Rowee returns to the label with Dharmony. A spiritual offering, the two track EP is a fitting addition to the Rebellion  catalogue.

A rich landscape of playful synths,  Dharmony is a fusion of melodies and harmonies that set the tone for the EP. Rowee was inspired by the Dharma, “ a key concept with multiple meanings in the Indian religions. There is no single word translation for Dharma in Western languages. In Hinduism, Dharma is the   order   that   makes   life   and   universe   possible,  the ‘right way of living’ ”.

On the B-Side, Rowee manipulates KnowKontrol‘s vocal into a new dimension. Intricate sounds are layered over the baseline, concluding this otherworldly trip.

Rowee is prolific Italian DJ and producer Leonardo Gonnelli. Fresh from his release on Seth Troxler's Play it Say it imprint and nominated in the category of Best Track at Vicious Music Awards, Leonardo Gonnelli has demonstrated his exceptional talent as a DJ whilst playing at worldwide events such as the legendary Space Miami, Pacha Buenos Aires, BPM Mexico, Dockyard Festival (ADE) in Amsterdam and Sonar.

Having recently remixed Yousef ‘Vanity’ feat. The Angel on Crosstown Rebels, 2017 marks the start of a new chapter for Rowee, promising   a bright future of what is yet to come.

Lucky number thirteen on San Francisco's @Manjumasi comes from label co-founder Atish. Following hot on the heels of last year's solo debut "Peculiar Colors," Atish returns to the label in fine form with a trio of collaborations. Each named after an amphibian or reptilian creature, the three tracks showcase Atish's musical range.

First up is Bullfrog, produced together with fast-rising German talent @timengelhardt. A chunky percussive bass groove drifts over liquid smooth lily-pads, laying a foundation for the quirky, croaking synth riff that makes the track's heady hook. Second on the package is Chameleon, a collaboration with label co-founder @mcslee. This one is a driving melodic groover that oscillates between musical colors, with a light floating pad melody and slip-sliding glissando synth playing counterpoint to edgy stabs. Rounding out the package is Tortoise, a team effort with SF talent @bengalsf. Like the animal, this tune is slow-moving and wise, demonstrating strength through patience in the form of a groove that gently meanders and builds with rich detail.

Canada’s My Favorite Robot Records welcomes another home talent to the label in the form of Mateo Murphy, who deliver his own truly serene take on techno.

Montrealer Mateo Murphy has a fine discography dating back to 1999 with Eps and album on a wealth of label from Tronic to Turbo, Underwater to Relentless and of course the ever excellent My Favorite Robot Records. He has a journeying techno style that is elegant and full of artfully crafted synths and here makes a welcome return to the scene.

This new single is part of the label’s 10th anniversary releases and closes out a year which has seen music from the likes of Satoshi Tomiie, Jori Hulkkonen, Rework, Speaking Minds, Fairmont and the My Favorite Robot duo themselves.

Opener ‘Dimensions’ is a nine-minute deep techno opus built on rubbery drums and brooding bass. Sci-fi sounds colour the airwaves while broad, rasping synths bring a sense of tension and suspense to the adventurous track.

Then comes the majestic ‘Rise’, a more edgy and spacey techno track with a sense of paranoia in the swirling pads, while the driving drums carry you off into an astral sky. It’s expansive, thoughtful stuff that also makes you move.

Last of all, ‘Tides’ is the deepest of the lot, cocooning you in muffled, dubby baselines. A microcosm of distant pads drifts by and the whole thing is perfectly cerebral.

This is a classy EP of timeless and futuristic techno that really takes you somewhere.
