It’s been one year now since my brother died and time passed before my eyes. Always keep in mind to be grateful for each and any given day of this life.

Inspired by the great movie VICTORIA and its beautiful soundtrack by Nils Frahm I dared a reinterpration of "them".

LANDSIDE 

Landside is the  debut collaboration between Italian producers Hunter/Game and the Icelandic band Kúra.
The sound draws as much from the deep vibe and  melancholy ambience of Kúraʼs  reflective, dubby moods, as the more insistent groove of Hunter/Game's dancefloor roots.
Fanney Osk 's vocals  are like clear warm breath in a cold mountain breeze.  
Vibrating  waves are set against synths and melodic leads that break the languid feel like the arrival of an intense storm.

In this first remix EP, two wildly different producers offer up their own original takes.   
Max Cooper's remix is as gorgeous and melodic as always, setting Fanney's vocals floating over a sea of warm synth work and surprisingly driving percussion.  Benjamin  Damage, meanwhile, fires hard into the dancefloor, digging  a channel of tough grooves  within the ambient melodies and mellow vocals.

(...) Das Ergebnis dieser Zusammenarbeit reicht @la-boum-fatale folgerichtig weiter. Der aus Nordeutschland stammende und nun in Berlin lebende Musiker @constantijnlange sucht darin Sounds auf mikroskopischer Ebene und steuert eine elegant und hypnotisch fließende Version bei. Christoph Vogel, der mit dem früheren La Boum Fatale-Mitglied Levente Pavelka das Deep-House-Duo @levente-suburb betreibt, geht mit seinem Remix etwas offensiver und wesentlich technoider an die Arbeit, während der Japaner @masaki-2 Uchida furchtlos das ursprüngliche Stück komplett dekonstruiert. Erscheinen wird die Kollektion am 9. Februar 2017 bei @sinnbus Records und wird über Bandcamp erhältlich sein. (...)

La Boum Fatale - When We Fall (Constantijn Lange Remix)

Belgium-based talent DI MARTINELLI twists HELMUT’s recent anthem ‘Fur’ into a dark, hypnotic club tool. The original guitar chords merge with rolling ominous bass, hazy vocals, haunting synths and tribal undertones. While the vocals stay put, the lyrics are downplayed and fuzzy, leaving lots of room for the reverberating sounds to fill in the blanks, HELMUT’s voice ricocheting from the walls, reflected and refracted. 

However layered, this elongated mix maintains the careful pace of the original track, working instead with newly invented arrangements that go right down to the core of the tune. Thorough, yet subtle.

In adding a pulse that oozes Berlin nightlife, DI MARTINELLI creates a subdued-sounding dancefloor drone out of the poppier original. Somehow, this Antwerp prodigy manages to blend a psychedelic desert feel with a dark trance the shade of pre-dawn drifting through forgotten alleyways and backstreets. It’s 4 AM, the club is still coursing through your veins, but you’re on the way home and wanting to stretch the moment. This right here is your perfect soundtrack.
