I didn't this album was going to work covers not again but it works freshening up some old classics

Not a shred of musicality compared to the original. The lyric is supposed to be sung in time with the changes otherwise it makes no rhythmic sense. No musical talent on show here just ruination of a classic. Appalling.

Makes me really proud as a Swede that Parralox done a cover of ABBA!! Brilliant taste in Music! =)

Holiday '16 is the 9th studio album from Parralox, and the 3rd in our annual Christmas releases, although you won't find any Christmas tunes here. Rather, a collection of cover versions of electro classics from our favourite groups including Depeche Mode, The Human League, Heaven 17, Sparks, Cicero Echo And The Bunnymen and more. The instrumentation has been carefully echoed and replicates the classic sound found on Dare! by The Human League, with a heavy touch of Italodisco for added punch.

Remixes 2 is a full length album collection of remixes that Parralox has made for other artists, and was only available on Compact Disc at the conzoom Records website. This Limited Edition CD sold out within a week of announcement!

THE BAND RECENTLY SUPPORTED LITTLE BOOTS AT BERLIN’S BERGHAIN, AND ANNOUNCE FURTHER EUROPEAN TOUR DATES

Melbourne based electronic pop trailblazers Parralox will release their new single ‘Wildlife’ on January 29. The track, which appears on the band’s current album ‘Aeronaut’, takes the Parralox sound into a darker territory - one which fans of M83 and Empire of the Sun may find familiar, while the accompanying video channels the iconic movie ‘Drive’.

The music video was recorded at Federation Square in Melbourne and features members of Melbourne’s underground glam rock scene. The was directed by John von Ahlen and assisted by Rodney Dekker.

Parralox recently performed a rousing live set at Berlin’s iconic Berghain club, supporting Little Boots on her European tour. The resulting demand has dictated that the band announce further European tour dates in the new year. The dates are:

January 22, 2016 - LONDON. Underbelly @ Hoxton.

January 30, 2016 - SWEDEN. Electronic Winter Festival.

The CD/Download release of ‘Wildlife’ is accompanied by remixes of the track by 7th Heaven and Parralox, along with unplugged & remixed versions of the album track ‘Somebody II’.

Parralox are currently writing and recording their new album which will be titled ‘Subculture’, and due for release later in 2016. The band, fronted by mega-talented rising producer John von Ahlen, have had an impressive career so far. Since 2008, they have released seven accomplished albums, gaining support and acclaim from an incredibly broad range of blogs and cultural commentators. The band topped several charts at the end of 2015, including a top 5 position in the official US Dance Charts.

John von Ahlen also produces two radio shows on Australia’s Joy 949 Radio Station - a weekly talk show called “Right Here, Right Now” and the Saturday night music slot “NEON NIGHTS” which has recently seen him interview the likes of legendary hit-makers Vince Clarke (Erasure, Yazoo, Depeche Mode), Marcella Detroit (Shakespeare’s Sister), Sheena Easton and Reverend Clive Thomas Jackson from Doctor and The Medics.
