2021 brought the second year of SPARKY Art Car’s Virtual Burning Man appearence in the Dusty Multiverse. IMI’s sound is known for unusual harmonies and rhythms, weaving the old with the new in a daring combination of traditional music, organic sounds, deep, quiet bass, wild drums and modern sound elements. If you listen quietly enough, his sets will whisper secrets of the universe while taking you not only on a crossing, but on a journey through all the seven seas.

Born in Iran, based in Vancouver, and raised by the world, IMI draws from many inspirations and tends to paint a narrative of a journey through historical Persia, Spain, Armenia into modern times. Western influences and his Middle Eastern heritage all come together within the world of electronic music to blur the lines between organic and synthetic expressions of sound, with tranquil beats and melodies that take you to a far away dream land. In this global sound and hypnotic harmony blend, he has found his musical home.

Music for him is an opportunity to stand up and show a diverse and open world and society, one in which different cultures can enrich each other. So the message of this mix is one of love and inclusion. And that it is in the darkest times that one can see the brightest stars.
