After making waves as a remixer, Max Blade returns to One Of A Kind with his first full original release on the label – the powerful two-track EP Rules Of Thoughts. Hailing from Santa Fe, Argentina, Max Blade (aka Maximiliano Nazara) has already built a reputation for forward-thinking sound design, earning support from legends like Nick Warren, Hernán Cattaneo, and John Digweed. Time Machine EP showcases their vision of deep, driving progressive house across two originals and two standout remixes. The title track Time Machine unfolds with hypnotic grooves and cinematic tension, while Gate 8 Journey offers a more atmospheric and melodic voyage. On remix duties, Rockka injects peak-time energy with a powerful melodic rework, and Imal SL strips the original into a rolling underground interpretation. A returning artist to the Meanwhile catalogue, EMPHI builds on his growing support and popularity with a brand-new twin-track EP in the form of "Walk With Me / Research Myself".

Hailing from the Swedish capital, EMPHI has lit up the world of Progressive House in the first half of the 2020s with his "tracks filled with vibrant percussion and anthemic melodies." Able to point to a growing number of blue-chip labels that have featured his work, Kasey Taylor's Vapour Recordings, Alex O'Rion's Solis Records, as well as the number 1 selling Mango Alley and iconic Balance Music, have all played host to EMPHI's production talent since a 2020 debut on Odd One Out.

Meanwhile has also been a key component in seeing the Stockholm resident soar to new heights. A pair of tracks have featured on the "Meanwhile Excursions" series with "The Box" on July 2022's Vol. 2 and "Azur" on Vol. 3 a year later. Now returning for a third appearance and a full solo EP, "Walk With Me" is propelled forward by a deep and penetrating kick. At the same time, a fizzing percussive top-line of hats and shakers provides the backdrop for a hypnotic bassline groove to anchor a series of sweeping, stereo-panned effects and vocal loop to flow seamlessly across the 7-minute piece. A catchy lead motif then provides melodic interest as it filters its way through proceedings from the mid-point onwards and into a stripped-down break. Building once more, the final movement explodes into a cadenced square wave synth that cuts through the mix with sumptuous pads adding to the soundscape.

Partner track, "Research Myself" immediately comes alive with a delicious head-shaking rhythmic pattern that creates a call and answer sequence with subtle synth placement. A chorus of hi-hats and shaker patterns adds further to the dancefloor arrangement as exquisitely placed slow attack chords and delicious effects create a hypnotising sonic collage. Rising and falling with immaculate ease, the track contains all the hallmarks of the EMPHI production skillset in a seething dancefloor gem.

Journeying to new frontiers on a voyage of self-discovery, EMPHI reaches new heights with "Walk With Me / Research Myself".

Beloved label veteran Talamanca, the acclaimed trance & progressive composer, presents "Arrivals & Departures," his highly anticipated debut artist album. A prolific and celebrated artist, whose oeuvre begins at the onset of the 2010s, Talamanca is known for a melodic, Balearic-flavored sound, which captures both the natural wonder and nightlife-induced euphoria of the White Isle. An artist from the Uruguayan capital, Javier Misa has been involved in the dance music industry for some twenty years. Making his Particles debut, Misa now provides "Emociones Sinteticas" with remixes from the southern hemisphere.

A DJ with residencies across Punta del Este and his Montevideo hometown since the age of 18, Javier Misa has energised Uruguay'a club scene with his distinctive musical profile. Performances at clubs and festivals that have included "I Love Electro" and "Sexy Beat" in Rio de Janeiro, and "Amparo" and "Zoff Club Campinas" in Sao Paolo, Misa's sets across South America have seen him share the decks with John Digweed, Jimmy Van M and Nick Warren. A production career has followed in tandem with work for such celebrated imprints as Baroque, Elliptical Sun Recordings and Surbeats, with his work licensed to a plethora of others. Now debuting on Particles, "Emociones Sinteticas", in collaboration with Damian Araujo, is a slick percussive affair that builds intelligently with stepped arpeggio sequence that makes its presence felt throughout the ten-minute track. Rising and falling with waves of dancefloor drops, a subtle pad progression brings a touch of tranquillity to an impressive debut.

Malaysian artist, Idham, is a producer who burst onto the underground scene in 2016 with his compelling brand of original music. During the past twelve months, the Kuala Lumpur resident has seen his work allied to such established imprints as 3rd Avenue, Hydrogen and MNL. Indeed, the "Karar/Badai" EP in November was a notable highlight for the latter. With collaborative work alongside f.a.f.a.u signed to Traum and BC2, Idham's "Akhir" for Particles in January 2017 was a welcome addition to a portfolio that began with a remix of Sapiens and Spring in July the previous year. Now returning to Particles, the Idham remix opens with strong beat and intricate percussive groove before evolving elegantly with clever reinterpretation of Misa and Araujo's original components, creating a work that lilts gently across its voyage. Building in energy post-breakdown the third movement brings "Emociones Sinteticas" to life with a raft of additional production material.

An artist with innumerable talents as promoter, DJ and producer/musician, Rich Curtis has been responsible for developing the club scene in his Queensland home, hosting appearances from such leading figures of Hernan Cattaneo and Anthony Pappa. Himself, a celebrated DJ across Brisbane and beyond, Curtis continues to light up Australia and South America in 2017. A notable production career has shone in parallel to a high-profile DJ career, with his work regularly gracing the catalogues of Replug, JOOF and Sudbeat, the latter accounting for the "Open Other End" EP in May 2012 for Cattaneo's imprint. Regularly featuring on Proton Music, the "Safety Thirst" EP was a noteworthy highlight as are remixes of Dousk, Silinder and fellow countrymen, GMJ and Matter. A trio of remixes for Particles in the past twelve months is now joined by a fourth as the Rich Curtis remix of "Emociones Sinteticas" blends dominant kick and distinctive percussive flair with exciting reference to Misa and Araujo's original components. A deliciously evolving affair, gated sequences, distorted bass notes and freeform melodies build to an intense crescendo in the breakdown, dropping away to showcase an array of Curtis production skills that brings a new vivacity and brio to the original track.

A pair of remixes from Idham and Rich Curtis have imbued Javier Misa and Damian Araujo's work with genuine "Emociones Sinteticas".
