TAPANDA RE was active between 1984 & 1987. The first line up consisted of Pauline Channing (guitar, vocals), Nina Rapi (bass, vocals) & Sally Orson Jones (drums). In 1986 Sally Orson Jones left and was replaced by Teresa Cornell (from Mouth Almighty). The songs were written by Rapi/Channing except Choose was written by Channing/Rapi/Orson Jones. The group recorded 10 songs and performed at venues such as: The Fridge, Brixton, The Bell at Kings Cross, Rock Garden, Dingwalls, Jubilee Gardens, L&G Centre. Rapi is now a writer, Channing RIP, Orson Jones is an editor, Cornell a carpenter?
TAPANDA RE is greek for 'everything is in a state of flux'.
