She is a staple in the Vancouver LGBTQ community, making appearances at countless queer parties all over the city including Vancouver Pride and adding HousewerQ to her growing list, a house music inspired night she’s also co-founded. Gage Lidkea, better known as PartyTek, is an up & coming Tech House DJ (and Aspiring producer!) based out of Vancouver, BC. Gage has been involved in the Vancouver music scene for over 10 years as an attendee, and in the past year, decided to spearhead his career as an artist. 

While he’s only been at it for 9 months, he has managed to play 25+ shows in this time, Playing all types of venues from forest raves, to warehouses, and even an opening set at Levels Nightclub! He has worked with local companies such as ZillaLive, Social Sound & SI Events, among others.

Gage is well known to play high-energy Tech House beats that are guaranteed to have the crowd dancing. This is evident in his track selection, stage presence & unfaltering energy, and is one of the main reasons he is called Party Tek!

Robbi Em’s ideal world would be a perpetual party from which they only take breaks to nap and create new music.  

With a background as a guitarist, producer and sound engineer, Robbi Em has been involved with thousands of live performances. They have a strong affinity for sound, but their real talent simply lies in knowing what’s good and when it’s good. Now, after a lengthy hiatus from performing, they intend to reinvent themselves with a focus on their unwavering love for syncopated hi-hats. 

While their style ideally consists of rolling bass lines and energetic percussion, it varies greatly depending on who’s listening. Their only goal as a DJ is to play the best of what their crowd is into. In short, Robbi Em is behind the decks to share a good time with whoever will show up to listen.

So I'm 42, been parting/DJing for 23 years now, with a good 8 year break just collecting tracks and taking care of Mom. I'm also an avid drummer, playing drum set, djembe and congas. I even ran the largest indoor drum circle in Montreal during the winter called Les Dimanches Tribales for a couple of years, playing in clubs that offered to open up all day Sunday for us. We were the international crowd, and didn't need any whistles to control the other drummers like in an American College football match. No the Djembe and Conga sounds are Afro/Afro-Cubano in their roots, which we fulfilled in respecting and have a very diverse crowd of drummers and dancers. Anyhow, back to the rave/party/club scene, I've just started going clubbing again for the past six months, and I love every minute of it. Vancouver took a hit in the mid-2000s when the city attemoted to ban raves, pushing party goers onto the street with shitty drugs and a dismall comparison to the love and vibe that the undergorund city scenes have provided the world for the past few decades. It still feels like Vancouver is re-building, and although Vancouver is the one of the most expensive cities to live in, party-goers still find the time and money to save up for big outdoor festivals such as Shambala and Bass Coast, and such. I've recently started producing my own techno/electronic music for the past year or so. Regarding my DJing, I started with Dark Jungle back in 1996 in Kingston, Ontario, then switfched to house/techno/minimal/IDM prior to visiting 14 European countries (and unfortunately missed the Love Parade by one week upon arriving, but still had crazy times in Amsterdam, Copenhagen (Christiania), London, and many others). After returning home, I  moved to Montreal where I DJed and ran my own company called Audiopagan - making hi-end cables for half the price of the big guys. 'm also fully bilingual (French/English), and currently I live in Surrey, just outside of Vancouver, where I'm hoping soon to find a manager/label to work alongside with to get busy through-out B.C. and Canada, and eventually I would love to travel and spin around the world. Love the Canadian Party Scene from East to West. I feel proud and fortunate to have met and shared so many good times with people in the music underground, and those memories have kept me knee deep in the Underground Electronic Music scene, I've spent time helping the very first Picnik Electronique outdoor event as a sound/pro-audio interpreter. Been grateful to have VIP to Sona while I lived there, and much respect to Tiga's crew and Philgood in particular. As for The Toronto scene, much respect to one of my best friends Jeff Pelletier who loves hi-fi as much as I doo, and shouts out to Trevor Walker, Mike Shannon, Jeff Milligan, Terry Mullen, DJ Slim, and the countless others who made the scene the best it could be.
