Designed for Kuya, a state-of-the-art health clinic in Austin, TX that is incorporating paradigm-shifting therapeutics, integrative psychiatry, and regenerative medicine into a visionary approach to trauma processing and healing, ‘Cura’ offers seekers a soundtrack for their journeys toward rebalancing, and is now lovingly shared with listeners everywhere on behalf of Kuya and producers Amani Friend and Poranguí.

Embedded with the sonic signature of the world’s oldest musical lineages and enhanced with field recordings and samples from across the globe, ‘Kuya Sessions: Cura’ is best experienced in its “Journey Mix” format, where the boundaries between movements are as ephemeral as the voyage itself. In preparation for embarking on this ritualistic path, one is invited to create an environment for inner-exploration with the help of a quiet and darkroom, headphones, an eye mask, and an intention of healing and discovery. 

The first installment in this four-part release series, ‘Cura’ draws upon a grounding array of instruments, vocalizations, and therapeutic musical stylings while showcasing Poranguí and Amani Friend’s tenacity for surreal, multi-dimensional sound. This song leads us to observe that life is like a large circle, a large field of internal work, a large family constellation.
Life is a great sacred space of healing where we can learn and evolve transforming our densest contents into the best versions of ourselves. 
Many times, in our relationships, we find ourselves unconsciously impersonating roles, sometimes we are mother, sometimes we are father, sometimes we are brothers etc..  
We project our wounds, our masks but also our talents and our beauty onto others. This awareness allows us to grow by bringing more harmony into the dynamics of life.

Through relationships we have the opportunity to know each other more deeply and for this reason they must be honoured, as taught by the traditional Lakota prayer "Aho Mitakuye Oyasin" which can be translated as "all my relationships", "we are all connected", "everything is connected" or also "everything is related".

Nalini Blossom - Soul Flight (Mose Remix)

A sonic ritual with an electronic pulse, fueled by analog looping and live DJ performing, giving birth to a merge between the spirit of the Andean and Amazonian ancestral music and the electronic music´s groove.
The trio, based in Brazil, combines regional instruments from South América, such as quena, zampoña, charango, birimbao and pandeiro with djembe, guitar, bass, vocals and electronic sounds. This electro-organic groove strongly inspires dance as well as introspection. A celebration of presence to awaken our essence.
