A-laise is a Tuckey production solo project. “A-laise” is derived from the French word “alaise,” signifying comfort. A-laise, an accomplished artist and musician, delivers original tracks with a smooth, mellow, and upbeat sound. These tunes are designed to soothe and relax, providing a pleasant backdrop or more, tailored to your personal preferences.

As a passionate music listener, I find myself immersing in the diverse soundscapes that the world of music offers. Each note, rhythm, and lyric resonates with me on a personal level, creating an emotional journey that transcends the mundane aspects of everyday life. I enjoy exploring various genres, from the soothing melodies of classical and jazz to the invigorating beats of rock and electronic. 

I take pleasure in discovering hidden gems and underground artists, often diving deep into playlists curated by fellow enthusiasts and music blogs. Live performances hold a special place in my heart, as there's nothing quite like the energy of a crowd swaying in unison, lost in the spell of a powerful performance. Whether I’m experiencing a heart-wrenching ballad or a dance-inducing anthem, I cherish the stories and feelings that each song encapsulates. 

My relationship with music is ever-evolving; it serves as a soundtrack to my life’s moments, connecting me with memories, emotions, and the ebb and flow of human experience. I often find myself reflecting on how music shapes my worldview, providing both solace and inspiration. Overall, being a music listener is not just a hobby; it's a profound passion that enriches my soul and connects me to the world.

My creative process is based on recording my environment, capturing sounds from the streets, bars, restaurants, or concerts... Anonymous recordings, stolen from the world around me. Nothing original, often very mundane sounds: children playing, birds singing, bells ringing... 

From this base and my guitar, I try to make each track to live like a short film. Whether it is a tale of adventure, nostalgia or dream, each tracks will invites you to visualize your own narrative and for somes one a very personal story. 
To each their own film.

I've been chasing sound since the day I ran away from home. 
While most kids were in school, I was digging through crates in record stores - learning rhythm, rebellion, and the raw truth music could carry. By 13, I was sleeping in nightclubs. By 15, I was behind the decks, DJ-ing to survive and to feel something real.

In the 1980's, I became part of Belgium's early electronic wave - spinning vinyl before it was a scene.

But life, as it does, took me away from the spotlight. Still, the music never stopped playing in me.

Now, after all these years, I'm back. Producing my own tracks. No rules, no formulas - just decades of sound, scars, and soul poured into every beat.
