Co-fondateur du label Love Reaction, La Roze fait partie de ces mélomanes obsessionnels toujours à la recherche de nouveaux disques. A l'affût, il arpente record shops ou marchés aux puces sans relâche à la recherche de rareté vinyles et de groove encore à découvrir, et c’est avec très grand plaisir qu’il vous fera découvrir ses trouvailles aussi éclectiques qu’inédites derrière les platines !

L’idée derrière ce mix, plus que d’essayer de développer un univers particulier, c’était de toucher à un peu de tout et concentrer un maximum des influences que je pourrais explorer au cours d’une night complète dans la cave à faire transpirer les murs, quand on se la fait en mode dancefloor.
Concrètement, ça donne un mix en deux parties : le début c’est plus ‘slow chuggerz’, pour taper du pied en sifflant des pintes, et la dernière heure est plus orientée démarrage de soirée / club !

Sidney Devine’s Magic Bag - Radio Buena Vida 08.05.24

In April 2022, I spent the whole month in Granada, in the very South of Spain, to prepare for upcoming cycling races in France. It was a memorable and introspective period, climbing up the mountain roads of Sierra Nevada on my own.

One day, I was looking for something to read and ended up in this old second-hand bookseller, who turned out to offer vinyls as well. I took some time to dig there, and on top of a nice copy of Beni Life’s only EP (including « Amor En El Cielo » beauty), I found this unusual maxi featuring remixes of « Asi Me Gusta A Mi » by Mallorcan singer Azuquita, which is itself a cover of Chimo Bayo’s 1991 techno hit, but in a euro house fashion and with a rumba flamenca twist.

When I first gave it a spin, I thought the track had all the elements to become a dance floor burner: housy keys and rhythm, heavy baseline leaning towards acid at some point, balearic guitar eruptions, catchy vocals, break with trancy chords.

It’s finally time to release this edit that was unfairly sleeping on my computer, after adjusting and re-mastering it a bit.

It has been less than a year since the dreamy 'Words of Love' single, yet @mysticjungle is back with a new album of free-spirited forays into solar-sonic fantasy. Despite the short time between releases, however, Dario di Pace’s third LP, 'Sunset Breaker', has been in gestation for a long while and reflects an arduous journey through studio closures and multiple recording locations. It also shows the stylistic variety that results when a set of songs develops over several years. Despite this difficult journey, Mystic Jungle has produced a rich and multi-colored display of sounds and styles, resulting in his most diverse and adventurous musical narrative thus far. Standout dance tracks like “Secrets” and “Some Lovin'” feature disco beats and body-moving grooves, with searing guitars, sultry saxophones, and layers of loved-up lyrics and call-and-response vocals that add to the magical motion. Meanwhile, “Innervision” and “Twilight” draw inspiration from lovers rock and neon new-wave dub pop, where yearning vocals, ecstatic pixie hooks, and liquid fuzz leads intertwine with fantasy synths and exotic string instruments from faraway lands. On sunbaked, stoner tracks like “The Road” and “Get Me Higher,” Mystic Jungle blends harmonizing passages of 60s psychedelia, radiant summer soul, and low-down zoner jamming. For this 87th podcast, we’re taking a one way trip to Switzerland. Because there is one field in which our neighbors aren’t neutral, it surely is music. The proof being Pascal Viscardi, today’s guest… "Napoletano" by heart but settled in Geneva, Pascal sees the house as a whole movement of with he endeavors to master each and every discipline. Experienced collector, exquisite DJ, fine promoter and passionate producer : nothing goes past this 28 years old musician, half of Born Bjorg, member of DB59, co-founder of rhythmcycles.ch and resident at Zoo de Genève. After five years playing around Romandie, Pascal gears up for the next level, by starting to master old analog machines. He succeeds right away with The Body EP produceed with Jean Obuchowicz, supported by artists like Laurent Garnier, Seth Troxler, Jimpster or Josh Wink. Two maxis later, basses are rumbling and Pascals’ sound is getting more mature : influenced by the 90′s New York scene and Chicago 80′s acid’s first flattering steps, his music tends to be a bit contemporary, but above all sincere.

A sincerity that goes on and on in this mix that lets Pascal generosity speak up. Just as the records he released, this set is timeless and specialized. Fits perfectly to hit the road for your summer trip.
