I just wanted to try out whether I could do a Boogie. This is the outcome. Hope you like it and it gives you good energy. 

Composition-wise: The left is a consistent 1/8th Boogie base line throughout the piece and typically consisting of a lower chromatic line and an upper constant note (e.g., C0-C1-D0-C1-Eb0-C1-E0-C1). The right hand dances over this with a partly Staccato theme that is loosened up by repeated Syncopes, Delays and advanced notes. The piece starts in a joyous C and modulates over its course to the minor third and ends in the warmer (and for me richer) Eb. 

The track has been recorded on a Roland FP-90.
The Cover art was created with Stable Diffusion which I continue fuddling around with. I think it is already a far jump from my previous „Sheherazades Tale“ Cover art but still not perfect. In particular, I continue to wonder what kind of music might be played with the very peculiar arrangement of white and black keys on the keyboard.

when you have an older sibling who's naturally brilliant at everything, it's really annoying 😃 in a cool way, though. I'm very proud of her and my  other sisters. This started out as a poem,  loosely based on me and my sister and  musing over a time when she was 12 and I was 9.

Les premières notes de cette chanson me sont arrivées en Mai 2022, juste après avoir composé "Même si tout s'arrête". Peut-être ce qui explique une certaine ressemblance dans la façon de les avoir construites, à savoir des accords de synthés vintage qui servent de support à la mélodie et une thématique parlant d'histoire d'amour. Mais la comparaison s'arrête là car les deux titres ont vraiment chacun un caractère et une identité propres qui les distinguent l'un de l'autre sans hésitation. 
Cette chanson est restée dans les cartons près de 1 an, avant que je n'écrive les paroles en Mai dernier, et que je l'enregistre. Ensuite mon ami Freddie de MTM Production a mis sa "touch" pour re-mixer et masteriser ce titre, en lui redonnant du punch et toute la dynamique nécessaire. Freddie, encore merci pour toute l'expérience et le temps que tu accordes à mes créations. C'est à mes yeux d'une valeur inestimable.
J'espère que vous prendrez plaisir à découvrir ce titre, au moins autant de plaisir que j'ai pu avoir à l'écrire et le réaliser. Comme d'habitude, n'hésitez pas à "liker" et reposter, c'est très apprécié et si important pour Freddie et moi!

The first notes of this song came to me in May 2022, just after composing “Même si tout s'arrête”. Perhaps this explains a certain resemblance in the way they were constructed, namely vintage synth chords which serve as support for the melody and a theme speaking of a love story. But the comparison stops there because the two titles really each have their own character and identity which distinguish them from each other without hesitation.
This song was in the works for almost a year, before I wrote the lyrics last May, and recorded it. Then my friend Freddie from MTM Production put his touch to re-mix and master this title, giving it some punch and all the necessary dynamics. Freddie, thank you again for all the experience and time you give to my creations. In my eyes, it is of inestimable value.
I hope you enjoy discovering this title, at least as much pleasure as I had writing and producing it. As usual, don't hesitate to "like" and repost, it's very appreciated and so important to Freddie and me!

Words I never thought I would have to write.

The great eSyrup, Thom Palumbo has tragically left us.
I am heartbroken. He has been a frequent collaborator and loyal correspondent over the last ten years. When I play guitar, I think of him and whether he would like it. When I write, I imagine his reaction. And now he is gone. He achieved his lifelong ambition of returning to Maine to live over the last few weeks. I was so proud he had done it. I had hoped for more of his time, his music and his humour. An incredible man.

We never met, but we had an uncanny connection. This was done but not finished nearly six years ago, in December 2017. Life and stuff got in the way. Time was our only enemy and sadly a cruel one.
