Coming of Age - that's where his music draws thoughtful circles. LUV.R captures his own past in introspective productions and incidentally indexes the zeitgeist of his generation. His resolute and relentlessly honest lyrics deal with world-weariness, powerlessness for the future, of course love and everything that suddenly becomes the main character of the early-mid- twenties. His productions make themselves free of any trends and still move in the here and now. With powerful voice and accompanied by urban sounds LUV.R reminisces his own emotional states as if they were collective ones. Indie pop meets electro beats to which you drift in the rush of life at four a.m in the morning.

"It feels like my second puberty, mid-twenties, but play it cool" - It's the duality in things that turns out to be a recurring theme not only in life but also in his songs, putting listeners in a kind of trance. 
Thus, the twentysomething-year-old embeds even heavy, almost painful topics in weightless productions. In doing so, LUV.R sounds unusually little like the classic self-reflection of a young artist. Lyrics that feel as if your chest would break in two while listening to them merge with hope- giving sounds and driving beats that force you to dance at the same moment. LUV.R doesn't want much with his music, it just needs to get out of his own system.
Why not let others participate in it?

What started a few years ago under the artist name "Kasimp", metamorphoses now with LUV.R into a new dimension. His songs have moved with the times, sound more sorted, clearer, more adult. The late nineties baby draws inspiration mainly from the genres of RnB, indie and folk and performs a musical symbiosis of artists such as Bon Iver, James Blake and Frank Ocean. Influence is also taken by well-known newcomers of the electronic indie pop scene such as Roy Blair, River Tiber and Mk.gee. With his live band, LUV.R has played support shows for Milow and Rikas, among others, as well as club festivals such as Popsalon in recent months. It will be interesting to see what LUV.R will surprise us with in the future. One thing is for sure: This year is far from over.

Essex-born Casey Spillman is a producer and DJ with a sound that resists borders.
In any one track you might catch the low-end pull of reggae, the breakbeat urgency of jungle, the chop of garage, the drift of ambient or the pulse of house, yet always with his unmistakable fingerprint. He can channel raw dancefloor aggression one moment, then dissolve into something more introspective the next. That range isn’t a gimmick it’s instinct.

From his cult Flavourz series to his debut on Infuse and the launch of his label Temperature°, Spillman has become a name synonymous with forward thinking UK club music. Both behind the decks and in the studio, his versatility and relentless curiosity keep him moving, never fixed, always shifting.
