For this week’s podcast we have Steve-O also known as Steve Solorio with a tribute mix to the late ninety’s music group Uneaq! Formed in 1998 by vocalist Jessica Marquez and her brother Joshua Marquez who played guitar, bass, and keys. Also, part of the group was Andrew Lozano as the third and 4th member, which was his computer, that he used to add more elements to the music.

The group was originally a soulful jazz quintet with a splash of hip hop and later decided to completely change their style that was heavily influenced by the underground house music scene. All three were originally from the city of San Jose in the San Francisco Bay Area, where they started performing and gained experience locally, but soon enough they were touring across the US and also releasing an EP on world renowned OM Records. The Group ended up splitting in 2012 but you can find Andrew still working and releasing music under his own label Freqy Music Group as well as other various labels. Along with the label he offers mixing and mastering services.

South African DJ, Slow Mo Lounge founder, Kongisto, pays tribute to one of the most versatile, multi-genre compilations plus deejays of all time - Mark Farina. 

Mushroom Jazz is a series of musical compilations by DJ Mark Farina. Originating in 1992 these were released on cassette tape, then since 1997 have been commercial CD and vinyl releases. Farina combines elements of downtempo, hip hop, jazz and R&B, French, Latin, beatmatching and mixing songs together. As with Farina's house mixes, the Mushroom Jazz series incorporates transitionary effects (such as a high pass filter) and a generally dry reverb tone.

DJ/Producer, Passion Victim has developed a unique blend of Pop, EDM, House, Trap, Hip Hop, and Future Bass to create a genuine sound that is sure to take over your iPods, and dance floors. His music has been licensed to feature films,  and television (including Netflix's "Dear White People", CW Networks "Dynasty, and YouTubeTV's Karate Kid spinoff hit "Cobra Kai").  In 2017 he was commissioned to remix the song “All Things (Just Keep Getting Better) for use as the main theme song for Netflix’s Emmy Award winning series, “Queer Eye”.  His studio work reflects that of a true music lover; taking multiple genres and bending them into a unique artistic statement that is both familiar, as well as brand new to the ears. His DJ Sets are more dance-floor orientated and range from Deep House, to slamming Electro, to Hip Hop, Future Bass and every genre in between. “I’ve always tried to maintain an ‘Anything Goes’ type of approach to my DJ sets, as well as my studio productions” he declares. “Genres kind of annoy me at times. There are too many things that I love and hate about each for me to be able to identify with only one. I think that my work reflects that inner-rebellion.”
