Steve was inspired by early 80's hip hop the likes of Grandmaster Flash, Melle Mel, Kraftwerk, Herbie Hancock and Afrika Bambaataa, And also the original electro sound going out on the streetsounds label which was way ahead of its time back then.&#13;

 Later into the  80s house, techno, acid and rave cultures coming from Chicago, Detroit, New York and especially all that was going on in the UK at that time. &#13;

The likes of David Morales, Frankie Knuckles Kevin Saunderson, Derrick May &amp; Juan Atkins, Carl Cox, Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin, Slam, Sasha, John Digweed  as some of his biggest inspirations for becoming a dj, His longstanding influences in these genre's spurs him on as he strives to evolve his sound keeping it fresh and up to date not scared of trying new ideas.&#13;

Let us introduce you to DJ Megagirl, also well known as Widia. She is a dandy Dutch-Hindustani lady, who is born and raised in the Netherlands. Not only a dj, but also a great performer who likes to interact with the people  

Dj Start On 13 January 2004, she got her first turntables for her birthday, because it was her dream to play records and perform for people, since her childhood

She likes to play and mix different styles, because she feels one style is to boring to play, to listen to and to dance on for whole evening. A little tough with a feminine touch, but also happy, uplifting (party) and floor-filling, popular and non-popular, mix of vocals and non vocals, is her way, music of this time

Influenced by different dj styles as example Melvin Warning, Freemasons, dj Jerrel, but she plays mainly herself of course

You can say that dj Megagirl is a very passionate lady who lives on music and lives to perform as an artist. She gives all her feelings and emotions by playing or dancing on the music. At the most of all, she likes to make the crowd happy with her music. When that happens, she has the time of her life.

On the most of her gigs she get asked to play on prime time, but she can also build up a whole evening with her sounds and on her own.
