A Strange Wedding kicks off the Useless Seconds catalog with 3 original tracks carefully produced and arranged to showcase his signature sound design at the cutting edge of futuristic techno-tribalism and minimalistic hi-fi trance.

First, Wormhole Breaker takes us on a journey through space and time, escaping furious psy-storms. Aqua Sourcing dives deep into space infrastructures, where resonating oily pipes made from an unknown alloy blend with the echoes of rusty excavating machinery drilling in search of precious liquid. Finally, Pressure comes as a restless ascending trip at full speed, reaching the climax of this hallucinatory journey through laminated space-time.

Wormhole Breaker re-emerges in two alternate realities, reshaped by Nadia Struiwigh and Patrick Russell. Nadia’s version is a mutating DnB roller designed to survive a hostile solar system, while Patrick’s distinctive rhythmic explorations make us swirl as if we were lost between those realities.

Pink Noise emerges from an intimate recording of the artist's vaginal milieu, captured with a self-crafted microphone. The subtle, haunting sounds of her body’s infection with the human papillomavirus. An unseen transformation altering the cellular landscape of her cervix. The visceral tones unveil both the vulnerability and the quiet resilience of a queer, migrant body navigating its existence. 
Banu exposes a deep connection to the rhythms of her body while illuminating the pervasive yet often unspoken truths of one of the most common sexually transmitted infections. It is an act of confronting stigma and raises awareness of systemic inequities within the healthcare system in Germany. 
Pink Noise is the sonic manifestation and interpretation of Banu's sound installation and solo exhibition at Galerie im Turm in Berlin in 2023.

On ‘Vesturgata Gaze’, Hitam traverses a new biome. Geographically and metaphorically. Through this introductory release on Omen Wapta, a remarkable voice in techno lunges into artistic deliverance.

Here we, the listeners, find ourselves with an EP that harbours immense emotive voltage. A perspective-pivoting trip unmistakably lies at the root of the soundwaves crashing into our eardrums. Tectonic shifts reshuffle subterranean frequencies on ‘Gomlutun Ruins’. On ‘Djedd Pillars’, we humbly stand witness as ceremonial incantations demarcate indigenous land. ‘Keadaan Aliran’ sweeps us up into century-old rhythmic phrases that strike as if descending from periods of persistent rainfall. The reverb of a cavernous space deregulating your perception of balance, is a sensation that crawls all over ‘Vesturgata Gaze’ and ‘Ningishzida’. In elusive ways, this record assigns a bardic function to mostly nonverbal music. The archives stand tall both as fact and as fiction.

All four tracks consistently bring forward traces of such life-affirming events. Large and small, old and new, funneled into one inertia-transcending project after a thorough exploration of Iceland. Geological features are resculpted into sound in grand fashion, but thanks to creative mixing choices, subtlety and surprise always run the gamut. It allows Hitam to carefully document the many undercurrents of experience and cultivate them through the magical power of peer-to-peer creative dialogue. Showing that commitment and intimate collaboration, taking on bold artistic ventures, touching moss and glaciers – that’s what can break the mould.

A central figure of the international underground scene, Matriark has been shaping a distinctive sound behind the decks since 2019. Originally from Norway and now based in Copenhagen, she has made her mark through a sensitive, no-frills approach to DJing, rooted in stripped-back techno, psy influences, and a strong sense of groove and emotion.

Equally at home in clubs and rawer environments, her sets stand out for their precision, intensity, and constant connection to the dancefloor. Alongside her work as a DJ, Matriark is actively involved in the local scene through several curatorial projects, contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable club culture.
