This is a love song that speaks from feelings of hope and optimism. A song of reassurance letting one know that they’re going to be there regardless of any turmoil or hardship in the relationship. 

A silver lining is a sign of hope or a positive aspect in an otherwise negative situation. The phrase is often seen as “Every cloud has a silver lining”, stemming from the fact that behind the cloud is the reflection of light from the sun, meaning that there's hope or something good to be found in every bad situation. 

In the same way, this is how we ought to relate to God. 

In James 1:2-4, & 12 it reads “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” & “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.”

In this life we are guaranteed hardship, but we can have hope in knowing that this hardship is temporary and we can have hope in knowing that we eventually we get to be with Jesus in heaven on day if we’ve come into a relationship with Him. Our Silver Lining at the end is Christ. ☁️
