 Prophet 5 on bass duties here, MS-20 for my blippity bloops, and my newest synth, an AKAI Miniak on strings. This samples a Barbara Streisand tune that escapes my mind right now, but it's a great song on its own merit. As always, I tried to make this as loud as possible without clipping TOO much, but I didn't limit it to 0DB. This tune was a real practice in my developing engineering skills, been reading Bob's handbook, and I think it might be working. In any case, Guitar Rig 5 for the amp sim, Ableton Live 9 as the DAW, all native plugins used for FX. Good times. BTW, 808 kick from Maschine in full effect, quite a simple task for  such a complex piece of kit.

This composition samples one of my all-time favorite songs, and one that still makes me quiver today, Selena's "Dreaming of You." Hopefully I did it justice somewhat, and RIP to the fallen star. Now, on the technical side of the song, we have my same elements. Prophet 5 on the bass. One of the leads, the darker sound, is an MS-20. The other lead, the bell-like sound, is sampled from an ARP Odyssey. The SFX are all from the Prophet 5 as well. Finally, the drums are from one of those old Roland CR-78's. Of course, an ample amount of effects processing and glitching make most of these "brands"disappear.Written, recorded, arranged, mixed, and mastered in Ableton Live 9. The song is about what it says it is about, hopefully the atmosphere it evokes offers an interpretation you can reconcile with. Good 'ole Patch would like that.
