Skankandbass is dedicated towards the official promotion of record labels and artists in the world of drum & bass music. Since inception in 2010, Skankandbass has unearthed some of the freshest talents in the scene and has opened many doors for unsigned artists. Now, a few years in to the game, Skankandbass decides to take on the role of a record label to put together a series of free download singles which aims to further help spread the work of the best unsigned, newcomer artists who deserve more recognition.

Jack "Walker" Fuller is a Drum and Bass producer hailing from Newcastle Upon Tyne, England. Currently studying Music Production in Surrey, Walker spends almost all of his free time producing liquid and soulful tracks, with the odd dark roller appearing every now and then. His love for melodies and beautiful chords can be heard throughout his tracks, along with using vocals to compliment his compositions. Walker's aim is to create music for the soul, music that connects to memories and feeling, wherever that person is or whatever they are doing.

Rockwell returns to his Obsolete Medium imprint for its third release - “Isolation Ritual”. Featuring the distorted crescendos and dissonant echoes of the Alix Perez supported track ‘Vent’, and ‘Ditch’ - a pulsating and dub-siren heavy collaboration with the man of the moment, Workforce. 

“ ’Isolation Ritual’ was borne out of me examining the relationship between my writing practices and my life outside music. For years I would shut myself away from the world in my windowless studio, concentrating on making music. It became normal for me to spend long periods by myself, isolated from the world outside and my friends and family. Over many years I became increasingly withdrawn and detached and struggled for objectivity. Tasks that would normally take an hour were taking days, as I was constantly second-guessing myself. My output ground to a halt.  

Making changes to both my creative process and the relationship I have with my music has been massively beneficial to my productivity and also to my wider mental health. Music is starting to flow again naturally. It is a slow process to unlearn years of bad habits, but hopefully ‘Isolation Ritual’ is a step in the right direction.”

One of the most exhilarating talents to come out fo the drum and bass scene in recent times, Rockwell has been heralded by the likes of Billboard, FACT, RA, Mixmag, CRACK and DJ Mag. He has released on some of the biggest and most revered labels in the game - Metalheadz, Critical, Shogun Audio Neosignal and Darkestral - and collaborated with a range of artists including Roni Size, Flowdan, Sam Binga and Breakage.

2020 sees Rockwell continue on his mission, undertaking further sonic explorations with his label OBSOLETE MEDIUM.

This is all present in his latest release 'Disturbances EP I' as well which captures a nice range of variety of styles and emotions, definitely worth a listen. He’s received support across the UK airwaves with plays across BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra and 6Music plus Keeno’s technical prowess in the studio has seen extensive features in leading tech music publications Future Mag and Computer Mag. He also continues to set himself apart as a DJ with a worldwide demand across Europe and a mainstay presence at Hospitality shows including Hospitality Returns To The Dock for a special Med School Graduation B2B2B2B set with Etherwood, Whiney and Bop.
