James Locksmith is a DJ, producer, music consultant and founder of Electronic Music Life.

Music has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. Regardless of the genre, music can conjure up so many emotions and memories. My musical education started off with all things soulful with lashings of funk, rare groove and old school hip-hop thrown in. With the likes of Big Daddy Kane, KRS One, De La Soul, Lakim Shabazz and Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock influencing my taste. On the soulful side of things a first hearing of "Me & Mrs. Jones" by Billy Paul led me to discover the Sound of Philadelphia as crafted by the hugely talented Gamble & Huff. The introduction of the Classic Mastercuts series, so expertly put together by the legendary Ian Dewhirst gave me an education that was second to none. Before I knew it the House scene was about to blow up and a new exciting genre of music was going to cement itself firmly in the history of popular culture. Fast forward 10 years and a chance to move to Leeds beckoned. My record collection had grown considerably and I had managed to procure some turntables, but unfortunately I did not have an outlet for the energy that was building up inside of me. Then I happened onto a club night called Speed Queen. This night opened my eyes to how clubbing was or should be and more importantly was one of the best moments of my clubbing life. The venue, the music, the people, the dj's, the door staff, the bar staff..... EVERYTHING was perfect!!!!! It was at this night that I knew I wanted to be in the booth controlling the multitude of emotions experienced by every clubber in the building. From here I became a resident DJ, proving my worth in the upstairs room, playing a blend of soul, disco, 80's grooves and club classics. In time I was given my chance to play the main room and never looked back. I am proud to say that I have been involved in some of the best nights the club has seen and from there it enabled me to play nights all over the country. During my time in Leeds I was also part of the now defunct vinyl department at HMV. From here I was able to influence a lot of local talent by securing tunes before they were released. It also gave me the chance not only to promote myself but get to know some of the best DJ's, promoters and producers that Leeds has to offer. Leeds is a melting pot of talent and outside of London THE best city in the UK for dance music. I was resident at Gladrags @ Space and played in all of the venues across the city. I was fortunate enough to put on a couple of low key parties that went pretty well. It was more an opportunity for me & my mates to play music and throw a damn good party. One of them, Open Wide was an amalgamation of dj's live musicians & vocalists that was voted one of the best nights in the North by Mixmag. Through this we were invited to host the backroom at the legendary Gatecrasher in Sheffield. Outside of Leeds I've played at various nights in Barnsley, Sheffield & London. I also did some charity work in Bosnia with Speed Queen & the UN as well as playing at a rock fesdtival in the Balkans. Leeds was very good to me and has a vast amount of musical talent that I played with as well as musical heroes of mine - Jazzy B, Graeme Park & DJ Disciple all ahd the priviledge of playing with me...haha!!
After a brief hiatus I moved back to my beloved London and befriended an Italian music lover called Davide Zambetta. He is one half of the super takented D'zeta n Basile who have been tearing up dancefloors with releases on Tsuba, Viva, Mn2S to name but a few. They asked me to be resident at their monthly at The White House in Clapham and it was here that I got the chance to play with the likes of Justin Drake, Kevin Griffiths, Silicone Soul & Cristian Viviano as well as guest with them at The Egg in Kings Cross. 
Now based in Dubai, I'm proud to have been a part of the legendary Musthavesoul Soundsystem playing at the best club in Dubai - 360! It was here I got to play with the likes of Charles Webster, Ian Blevins, Mad Mats and the legendary DJ Spen.
Now I am part of the Cuts Above collaboration with Jonny Thornhill and we will be hosting below deck on the Sunstroke Boat Party.
We are regulars at the secretive Sunstroke Terrace Parties and have had the privilege of gracing the decks with John Morales & Phil Cooper to date. We will be taking voer regular Thursdays on the Dek on 8 at Media One Hotel.

Alexander Barck is a Berlin based producer and DJ. He is founding member of Jazzanova and A&R for the label Sonarkollektiv. Also working with Christian Prommer on the Prommer & Barck project. Lately working with DJ Comixxx on remixes and new material.

Patchoulee's (a.k.a DJ P) love for music started in the 80’s, heavily influenced by her brother who was DJing old skool house parties playing disco, soul and funk. She soon became addicted to collecting vinyl, this was fueled by the job she landed working for Wiiija Records at Rough Trade; It was here that she got her lucky break DJing for The Beastie Boys during their Ill Communications tour in between their sets at both of their London shows, in Dublin and Paris, her name was thrown up on the posters and her DJ career was launched.

P has been an international professional club and corporate DJ for well over a decade now, having firmly put her stamp on the London club scene and high end corporate events in Dubai. Her unique blend of great party tunes, regardless of musical genre never fails to give the crowd exactly what they came for, expect an unpredictable mix of cool Pop spanning 4 decades, R&B, Hip Hop, 80’s Soul, Rare Groove, Motown, Disco, Rock, Commercial House, old school Garage, and a pinch of Bashment…prepare to dance all night long!

DJ P loves to accept the challenge of getting people dancing without playing predictable hits, her love for digging deep into those crates for those long forgotten club classics always makes for memorable night! Her friendly smile and the fact that she herself is always dancing in the dj booth ensure that when DJ P hits the decks, you’ll be dancing too!!!
