I arrived in London in early ‘71 and landed on the Holland Road, Shepherd’s Bush not long after.
My good pal Julie Lewis (from Durham) with whom I’d worked with in Sydney, had digs there and invited me to stay. Nonetheless I found it a challenging place to be after Sydney, Summer, beaches, family and gigs. Amongst Julie’s record collection was Nick Drake’s 'Bryter Later' which brought solace to me as I often felt very alone and completely at a loss as to how to navigate London town.

Years later I was to learn that Freddie Mercury was living just a few doors down from us on the Holland Road...no I never knew him...but when I wrote the lyric it seemed apt to pay homage to Freddie and our collective dreams. I’m so happy with Cripple Club’s interpretation of the lyrics, bringing to life a musical collage that depicts the highs and lows of living on the Holland Road through my first cold winter! From my heart; thank you Terry & Gary Reeves; you are two soulful & gifted brothers; I feel so indebted to you both and to Hans Albers for his powerful musical contributions. I originally worked on this song in the year of 2005 , 
this song was born by an idea of Mr. Pierfranco Chiusolo (https://it-it.facebook.com/pierfranco.chiusolo) 
the lyric is a funny story (not so funny to be honest) about how It has become so difficult for a live Band finding new places to play Live Music and how everything is such complicated and hard behind the stage.
When Mr.Chiusolo gave me the vocal and bass rough line for arranging my first impact was a song with a reggae groove Intro with a change to medium hard rock tempo, the result is a track with a sound between Led Zeppelin and The Police first period, Lara did a very good Job on this song, I think that despite years have passed the lyric's subject is still present today.
