This track came together almost by magic. For those of you following me on Soundcloud and on other music streaming platforms, you know that I follow the music where it takes me. I am totally driven by sound and feel. Oh, ever so occasionally I may glance at the Circle of Fifths poster hanging on my wall in front of my piano, but I am not constrained by music theory or musical academics. If something sounds and feels right to me, I go with it. If it violates some written rules somewhere, I am sorry. But I have no other choice. This is me!

Final draft. Added some variation in the drum kit and piano, and added a counterpoint in the piano for the flute. First song I've finished in a while.

For better or for worse, extending the song isn't the hard part, but more of reusing patterns while trying to keep your music consistently different.
This is about as much as I can do with what I have - at least until I find a good double bass vst. Was thinking about Straight Ahead, but apparently I need a super-expensive program to use it...

Didn't expect to finish this on Christmas, but I guess the gift I was given this year was spontaneous inspiration.

Two or sleepless nights went into this. I've gotten reaccustomed to sampling and the process of creating sounds which is good. The alarm clock is actually a blend of three alarms that have been shortened.
