He wrote this song in honor of his mother who raised him by herself.    I did this KaraFun karaoke track rendition at Champions' Sports Bar and Grill in Richmond, KY on 12/03/2025. Just a little about myself.  About 12 years ago in April 2010, I sang my first karaoke song in public at Hardee's in Lexington, KY and the song was a Sinatra song "Summer Wind".  I finished the song and waited a couple weeks to come back because I didn't really think I had done well.  So I asked the assistant manager what people said and he told me to keep the microphone close to my mouth.  So I have now done 1583 songs by 506 different singers or groups in those 12 years.  The Pandemic was a very rough time in not being able to see and sing for people.  I tried Facebook, but I don't seem to like their sound quality at times.  Another piece of advice I would have is to listen and work with the people who run the shows.  I have gotten to know some great people who I could talk about for a long time.  People like Tom Martin, Cecil (Dusty) Wilson, Scott Rogers (who created a logo for my music), Erik Davig, Charles Sanders, Billy Judd, and Tom White.  We can all learn a lot from our time in music.

According to me I’m an independent musician, writing and recording instrumental electronic progressive rock on Roland synthesiser workstations, although the original ideas for tracks often come from iPad soft synths (I use the Animoog and Jordantron) or the piano [not the piano so much due to arthritis in both hands - at least the keyboard has lighter action] or guitar.  

After playing piano from a very young age I played keyboards in the London pub rock group deEssen.  My original influences were probably Caravan, Camel, Ultravox, Jean Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Pink Floyd and The Doors, with a sprinkling of Yes, Genesis, King Crimson, ELP, PFM, Greenslade, Deep Purple, Mike Oldfield, Vangelis…  These days, when I’m not listening to you on SoundCloud I listen to Iamthemorning, The Resonance Association, Ozric Tentacles, Joe Satriani, IQ, Threshold, Steven Wilson, Lacuna Coil, Liquid Tension Experiment, The Flower Kings, Spock’s Beard, Led Bib, Thank You Scientist, Big Big Train, Eloy, Magenta, Wobbler, Frost*, Simon Phillips, Jean-Luc Ponty, Renaissance, Arena, Izz, Jupiter Fungus, The Tangent, Karfagen, Lunatic Soul, Hania Rani, Madis, Nik Bärtsch, Neil Cowley, The Messthetics, The Necks, Antoine Fafard, GoGo Penguin …
