Gregor Tresher kicks off 2015 looking to break new soil with his first ever full release for John Digweed's Bedrock Records.   

Last year was as hectic as ever for the Gregor and he came into it on high from the success of his artist album Nightcolours and having closed out 2013 by releasing an astonishing Laurent Garnier remix of the title track, on his own imprint.   Time to relax a little maybe? Not a chance. January saw the remixed version of the album hit the stores and this was backed within a few weeks by 'Taurus', Gregor's enticing collaboration with Petar Dundov. The summer saw him remix the Chymera classic 'Shadowdancer' and he closed 2014 with the superb 'Midas / Disturber' double-header.   

Somewhat of a musical chameleon, Tresher is as at home creating deeper shades of house for the likes of Moon Harbour and Ovum as he is techno rhythms for Music Man, Cocoon and Drumcode.   With label boss Digweed a huge fan, Bedrock is yet another perfect fit for the German and he opens his account with the mighty, melodic and Kraken'esque 'Goliath' and the razor-sharp lightning bolt that is 'Stormblade'.

We are glad to welcome Cary Crank to the 12th episode of "Modulism".
"Music expresses what can not be said, and what is impossible to keep silent about." This quote from the French writer Victor Hugo describes what has always driven Cary Crank: to find a multi-layered language to express that which moves him.
Cary knew early on that music was his language. Growing up in Frankfurt, Germany, he witnessed the birth of techno live and thoroughly immersed himself in its soundscape. An enthusiast of other genres as well, he played the guitar in rock bands and produced electro-pop for various projects. He built his studio, which he transforms and reinvents time and time.
Since turning to Melodic Techno in 2018, he has released several tracks and remixes on labels like Parquet Recordings, Univack, Mango Alley, Perspectives Digital, Freegrant Music, Beatfreak Recordings, on his label Sunexplosion and many more. His releases hit the Beatport Charts regularly. The energy and analog vibes in Cary's tracks are palpable, as he always travels to the essence of a sound, and brings emotions to the dancefloor.
In the mix, Cary presented 10 of the most memorable Polyptych tracks.

Quickly following up the last, instant sell-out smash, Shir Khan's infamous "Black Jukebox" series hit us with the 12th edition. Introducing anonymous project Aussteiger who gets things bouncing with the Summer house monster, "Bangbao". Lush filter sweeps, twinkling keys and powerful bass are order of the day here as the producer works his magic on one of the sunniest grooves we've heard this year. "Return" keeps that outdoor terrace flavour but plunges us deep into the twilight, tribal drums and deep electronics locking us into its hypnotic recess. Martin Lewis contributes a seriously fun and summery version of "Now That We Found Love", utilizing glorious xylophones and horns throughout the melody and letting it roll out with aplomb. Finally, we get the cheeky "Do It" edit which combines hypnotic congas with funky guitar licks and a sun-burnt, Latin energy to create a sizzling brew of hot dancefloor energy. Great stuff!
