Junior Mamay Asaph est un musicien chrétien contemporain, chef de culte, guitariste-chanteur-compositeur-interprète. Originaire de la province de Bandundu dans le district Kwilu, en République démocratique du Congo. 
Dès son plus jeune âge il est attiré par la musique. Dans les quartiers Kalunga  et Ngafani de la commune de Sélémbaô il monte un groupe "Jamaîka Folk".Quelques années plus tard on le retrouve comme animateur, sous le nom ATALAKU dans différents groupes du quartier entre la commune de Selembaô et Mont Ngafula ( Nouvel Star, Wenge Référence,Aria Esthétique, Génération Oasis ). 

L'année 2000 marque un tournant important : il vit la conversion en Christ, né de nouveau , baptisé d'eau et dans le Saint Esprit   au sein de l'Eglise Ciel ouvert Ngafani.
En 2001, il intègre l'orchestre "la Grâce"de l'Eglise Ciel ouvert Ngafani comme chanteur.
En 2002 il apprend la guitare avec Le Père Maluzeyi , dans un style " world music".
En 2004 Il s'initiera au jazz et au gospel avec Karo Ndoite, mais suivra également des ateliers de chant et guitare au MCK ( Music Club de Kinshasa) avec Pierre Vaiana et Fabien Degryse.
En 2006, il vient vivre en Europe et intègre la chorale Schekina dirigée par le pasteur Philippe Tshimanga, avec qui il réalise un album live (  L'incomparable) dans lequel on le  retrouve à la guitare acoustique mais également en solo et dans la partie louange congolaise et animation (Atalaku).

Junior Mamay a aussi partagé la scène avec de nombreux musiciens , citons Papa Kanguma Senga , Marcel Boungou , Kool Matope, Réné Lokua, Mbuta Kamoka, Audit Kabangu, Nana Lukezo, Massamba Nzinga , Ike Baali, Paul David Ndjadi, Justice Nhyira, Dzany Mpiana,...
Ses influences musicales sont riche et multiples de Kool Matope, Thomas Lokofe, Denis Ngonde, Mbuta Kamoka, Lokua Kanza, Richard Bona, en passant par Djavan, Jean Goubald, Don Moen, Marcel MBungu, Jonathan Betler, Paul Baloche, mais aussi Olivier Cheuwa, le groupe Vox Dei, le groupe  Exo Eclat ou encore le groupe Gael.
Junior Mamay Kibamba nous livre son premier album solo " Tika Kombo Na yo Ekumama" qui signifie "Que Ton Nom soit Loué". Il s'agit d'un répertoire mixte au son de la guitare acoustique avec la participation du grand saxophoniste belge Pierre Vaiana, de soeur Sandra Mbuyi, du frère Audit Kabangu, sans oublier la soeur Laure Manda et David Lessie.
Aujourd'hui Junior Mamay Asaph est en studio pour l'enregistrement d'un nouveau single.
