The Damned and Dirty is one of the most exciting and innovative duos in the roots tradition. That set up does not mean the duo is a “smoothly playing in the corner, easy listening” kind of band. They rock, they roar, the slide guitar can scream, the blues harp can wail, and the vocals cut like a knife when needed in the songs. Listening to the songs and quality lyrics you will be impressed and think you ended up in a venue or festival in the south of the USA listening to one of the best American duo’s. Their English is American like it belongs there.

Als band die deels ontstaan is uit de Zaanse popschool. Kan je wel zeggen dat er weinig van toen hetzelfde is. De band begon met Fabian (nu drummer) als zanger en vanaf het begin al wisselende drummers. Nadat ze de 3de drummer versleten hadden, besloten ze dat Fabian maar moest gaan drummen. Waardoor Matthijs de taak als zanger en bassist op zich kreeg. zo zijn ze als 3 mans formatie een tijdje door gegaan. In de tijd dat ze met ze drieën waren hebben ze nog de Rabobank talentscout gewonnen. Om vervolgens Bastiaan er bij te halen voor een voller geluid. Nu zijn ze een 4 mans formatie met een vol alternatieve rock sound.

Etherwood is undoubtedly one of the most promising talents in the scene today. Originally from Lincoln and now living in London, Woody has already captured the imagination of thousands across the globe with his achingly beautiful beats and heartfelt melodies.
