J. Nathaniel Henderson, Jr., known professionally as BlacMatta (pronounced \blak'·mat·uh'\) or The ILLusive, is an innovative and eclectic music producer from the small town of Oxford, North Carolina.  His sample-based, genre-blending production has a silky smooth, yet slightly aggressive, and meticulous sound.  Influenced by great producers like Pete Rock, Madlib, and Timbaland, he has found a unique pocket that is quite addictive.  Also a vinyl record collector, his appreciation for music may seem boundless.  His widespead love of all music sets his music in a universal realm amongst various genres and is allowed to stand out beside other's productions.  BlacMatta started as also one half of a production team/music group, L.E.N., with his hometown childhood friend, Daryn Paschall; known professionally as DemiGod.  BlacMatta was also a music blogger for Sound-Saavy.com. L.E.N. disbanded circa 2013, but Demi and BlacMatta remain brothers to this day.

BlacMatta continued to make music.  Now a husband and a father of three beautiful children, music has become much more for healing.  He started the music label, ILLusive Ones Entertainment Group in 2021, in hopes that he could assist other creatives who struggle with anxiety as he had for so long.  "God gives us talents not for our own personal gain, but for the ability to be a blessing to someone else's life.  It's not meant to hoarded or hidden.  Be the blessing you were designed to be."
