Description: My second EP, finished nearly 7 years after the first. In that time I finished college, got married, moved a dozen times, worked a dozen jobs, and just recently made it to the halfway point of medical school. All along I've met great musicians, jammed with fantastic bands, and written some fun songs. There is so much more to come. Enjoy!

My latest set of tracks, I composed each piece representing a story. Each track follows on from the last and transfers ideas, motifs and influences with each new idea. The way I wrote the tracks took classical ideas with rock/metal sounds in some (the guitar always taking the lead of course) 

The Beginning - An Introduction to the world (at first glance a positive place but has dark sides as represented by the minor key shifts and dark phrases)

The Duo - Representing the 2 main characters of the story, the best of friends travelling through the world together

The Mystery - The introduction of the villain. The title gives away that nobody knows who he is, where he came from and more relevant - what he is planning!!!

The plot revealed - this track represents the development of the villain's evil plan, starting with minor arpeggios leading up to a phrase which just after half way repeats with backing showing the plan coming together.

The Turn - What the villain's plan was all about; turning one member of the 2 main characters from the duo against the other. This track was one of the easiest to write as it represents the villain whispering and influencing. (the main character was turned to evil at 02:14 by the way) 

The realisation - The main character realises what has happened (and regrets everything)

The Rebellion - Both main characters fight the villain, a very fast paced track which I had to record in one take!!! 

The fall of evil - Where the villain is finally defeated. A slower pace with a lot of darkness/eeriness just so you aaaaalmost question if he's actually been defeated (some of my favourite motif transfers here)

The aftermath - The world after the villain (according to the 2 main characters) this final track is very different to track 1, almost sad in parts but always picks up until an ending which almost leaves you hanging (I did do that on purpose by the way)
