Paul "Laffy Stone" Lafrenière, native from Chapleau, Ontario, is an alternative rock and blues guitarist, performer and guitar instructor. Currently based in Ottawa, Paul contributes to the vibrant music scene with guitar as well as vocals, bass and sitar at various venues and groups.

Moving from Chapleau to Sudbury in his teenage years, Paul quickly became interested in music and began playing the guitar at age fifteen. The music scene there influenced him strongly and he began playing in local bands at age seventeen. Playing across Eastern Canada, Paul continues to perform at many venues across Ontario and Quebec.

Brave The Third is disbanded but the music will always be alive!

Brave The Third was an edgy, alternative rock band that delivered driving, powerful songs.

Co-founded by guitarist Paul Lafrenière and singer Nicolas Grant in 2011, the band was pulled forward with relentless force by each member, with Alex Ferland on drums and Matt Villeneuve on bass.

Their debut EP, … And The Infection Spreads, builded a strong foundation for the band’s sound and sets them apart in the music scene. From “Over Again”, with its driving main guitar riff and catchy chorus, to “Mary”, a haunting melody that gripped at your heartstrings, Brave The Third demonstrated its ability to create memorable songs and drew listeners into their sound. 

"As If" is the sophomore solo album from Ottawa, Canada singer/songwriter Curtis Jones, his 4th release in 3 years.  "The older I get the more appreciative I become that God has continuously allotted me the opportunity to zone out from time to time to do what I enjoy most, create music. "As If" was recorded sporadically over the past 2 years with my musical brother Pawel Szaryk. Special thanks for his ears, knowledge, and abilities. "  Influences include R.E.M., Phil Spector, Ottawa's 98.5 Jewel FM, Tom Petty, Elton John, The Hip and The Eagles.
