Saxophonist Patrick Stadler is passionately dedicated to contemporary music. As a member of Ensemble Nikel and Ensemble Inverspace, he plays a pioneering role and makes a significant contribution to the creation of new works. In 2023, he was awarded the Swiss Music Prize for this. Numerous CD recordings, appearances at renowned festivals and radio recordings testify to his great commitment. He has performed as a soloist with the WDR Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble Resonanz, Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra, Basel Symphony Orchestra and Basel Chamber Orchestra, among others. Patrick Stadler has been a professor of saxophone, chamber music and contemporary music at the Nuremberg University of Music since 2019 and is a lecturer at the International Summer Courses for New Music in Darmstadt. His teaching activities are complemented by workshops and master classes at renowned universities worldwide.
