Same Horizon – The Acoustic Sessions is the final chapter of the Same Horizon trilogy — a quiet, intentional closing of the circle. Where The Hong Kong Sessions captured discovery and distance, and The Perth Sessions explored settling, reflection, and reinvention, this release strips everything back to what remains when the noise is gone. These are the same songs, the same words, but told at their most exposed.
Built around acoustic performances with subtle, restrained programming, The Acoustic Sessions places the voice, the lyrics, and the spaces between them at the centre. Guitars breathe, tempos relax, and arrangements leave room for imperfection — the small pauses, the soft cracks, the moments where meaning lives. Rather than reimagining the songs, these versions reveal them, letting their emotional weight stand on its own.
Across the record, the themes that have defined the series feel sharper and more personal in this format. “All the Ways I Love You” becomes almost conversational, its reflections on evolving love and parenthood landing with a lived-in tenderness. “Love Changes Shape” and “Everything We Know” feel less like declarations and more like shared acknowledgements — reminders spoken quietly rather than sung outward. The acoustic setting turns routine, comfort, and longevity into something intimate instead of ordinary.
At the heart of the album are songs that have always relied on honesty rather than scale. “The Way You Know Me” feels especially at home here — a song about being understood without translation, delivered without embellishment. “You Came With Me” carries the weight of migration, sacrifice, and partnership with gentle steadiness, its gratitude made more powerful by restraint. These versions don’t ask for attention; they earn it by being sincere.
The closing tracks, “Us at the Beginning,” “Same Horizon,” and “New Ways to Know You,” take on a reflective, almost archival quality. They don’t romanticise the past or resist change — instead, they hold memory, apology, growth, and intention in the same breath. Released on October 15th, Patrick Wolf's new album 'Sundark and Riverlight,' is a very personal collection of songs from Patricks extensive 10 year career. A selection of tracks from Lycanthropy, Wind In the Wires, The Magic Position, The Bachelor, Lupercalia and Brumalia, rearranged and recorded acoustically at Peter Gabriels Real World Studios.

Patrick’s vocal sings out against the backdrop of his musicianship on Celtic Harp, Harpsichord/spinet, Grand Piano, Baritone Ukulele, Mountain Dulcimer and Viola and he is joined by a guest musicians on double bass, bodhrum drum, musical saw, guitar and Woodwind and String Quartets. Also featuring international spoken word contributions from fans on Bermondsey Street.

Patrick starts an extensive world tour August 29th in Londons Old Vic Theatre. Continuing onto Australia, USA and than back to Europe for dates in Germany, Italy , Switzerland, Holland, Belgium, France and the UK with touring in many more territories planned to continue into 2013 followed by Festival performances Summer 2013.
