Losing a loved one is undoubtedly one of the most challenging experiences we face in life. It leaves an indelible void in our hearts and can sometimes feel overwhelming. However, in the midst of sorrow, it is essential to remember and honor the precious memories we shared with those who have departed. This mix is a personal tribute to my beloved sister, my inspiration, who played an integral role in my love for music and continues to influence my musical journey even in her absence.

From the earliest days of our lives, my sister and I formed an unbreakable bond. We were there for each other through thick and thin, and music was the magical thread that bound us together. As young as 12 years old, we braved the stages of adult clubs, enthralled audiences at various celebrations, and grooved to the beats we carefully curated in our DJ mixes.

My sister was more than just a partner in crime; she became my number one supporter, encouraging me to think outside the box and explore diverse music genres. I can still vividly recall the heartfelt conversations where she would passionately share her music recommendations, guiding me through the labyrinth of melodies. Her wisdom and deep understanding of music were remarkable, and her opinions shaped my choices as a DJ.

Health issues beset my sister throughout her life, but her determination never faltered. Despite being blind, she had an extraordinary ability to see the true essence of people. Her resilience and unwavering spirit were a testament to her strength, and her unique perspective enriched the lives of everyone she touched.

Losing my sister during the COVID epidemic was a devastating blow, leaving an immense void in my heart. Coming to terms with such a loss and finding the strength to move forward required every ounce of resilience I could muster. Yet, despite the pain, her presence continues to resonate within me, especially when I create my mixes. I can almost hear her infectious enthusiasm exclaiming, "That's my jam – turn it up!"

Every mix I create carried a little piece of my sister's spirit. It is a tribute to her profound influence on my musical journey and an homage to the melodies that were an intricate part of her life. Each beat and transition is carefully chosen, keeping her song playlist in mind. As a DJ, I strive to embody her passion, taste, and unwavering love for music in every mix I create.

The loss of a loved one reminds us of the transient nature of life itself. It serves as a powerful reminder to cherish each moment, hold our dear ones close, and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us. In the face of inevitable goodbyes, love becomes the anchor that keeps us afloat.

Losing someone dear is an experience that forever changes us. In the case of my beloved sister, her impact on my music selection and mix recordings will continue to influence me for a lifetime. Though the pain of loss is immeasurable, the memories we shared and the love we nurtured will forever bring solace and comfort. As I press play on each mix, I do so with a mixture of sadness and joy, knowing she is there with me, her spirit forever etched in the vibrant notes that dance through the air.
