Night Bringer

I'm currently finishing a Masters degree in Improvisation at the University of Michigan, where I have had been extremely fortunate to study with Andrew Bishop, Ellen Rowe, Ed Sarath, and Geri Allen. 
My primary background before coming to U of M was in classical saxophone and music education where I studied at Central Michigan University under John Nichol and Rob Smith. I hold my classical background as a crucial development for my jazz playing. 
I've had the pleasure of spending a week with David Liebman as part of his Chromatic Harmony masterclass, as well as traveling with him to Austria as part of the International Association of Schools of Jazz. I will also be attending the Banff Centre Workshop for Creative Music, led by Dave Douglas.
I've been fortunate enough to share the stage with some of the best jazz artists around today, including: Jeff Tain Watts, Geri Allen, Robert Hurst, Sean Jones, John Fedchock, Terri Lynne Carrington, Bill Carrothers, Douglas Ewart, Karl Berger, Wadada Leo Smith, Dafnis Prieto, Graham Haynes, the Temptations, among others.
