Wondercast 042 is live and we have the infamous Patrick DSP taking control for an hour of heavy duty madness.

Patrick DSP has been smashing sound systems around the world for several decades on three decks. Starting in his native Canada and finally landing himself in Berlin, where he currently resides. Beginning his campaign of techno in the mid 90s in Toronto, soon delved into the production side of things, and eventually mastering.

A quick study in the technical realm, the fast found himself working with renowned labels such as Kne’ Deep Records and DJAX Up Beats, providing mastering, production and remixes for various labels, all the while building his repertoire of twisted pristine sounds.

In between jumping from Canada, to Brazil, to Berlin, Patrick managed to expand his abilities, not only making music from film scores to blistering techno, but also using his mastery of production to teach others their way around a studio, giving classes and lectures around the world. Never one to rest on his laurels, he was also performing across Europe, South America and North America, spreading his techno sound from intimate local clubs to festivals such as the Love Parade in Germany, ADE, MayDay, Awakenings, Fabrik, Tresor and many more.

His musical skills, along with his diverse range of technical ability, have not only resulted in an impressive discography of international releases, but have also allowed him to collaborate with some of the most talented names in techno, earning him the reputation of a true techno stalwart.

The Chronics returns to Stützpunkt with his next vinyl release - Voices From the Void, pushing his sound to new heights and marking another milestone. Packed with his trademark energy, the EP unfolds across a series of striking originals before handing the reins to none other than Chlär, who delivers a powerful remix that reimagines the material with his unmistakable touch. With this release, The Chronics solidifies his presence on the label while Chlär’s contribution adds an extra layer of intensity, making the record a standout addition to any collection.

Berühmt-berüchtigt sind die Partys des Labels im About Blank in Berlin, dem objekt klein a in Dresden und die vierteljährlich stattfindenden Events im Institut fuer Zukunft in Leipzig.

Patrick began his journey spinning records at underground raves in Canada back in 1996. It wasn't long before he ventured into producing the very music that inspired him to DJ in the first place. Music production became his gateway to exploring sonic landscapes and experimenting with cutting-edge technologies, resulting in creations ranging from film scores to his signature hard-hitting techno. Beyond crafting his sound, Patrick shared his expertise with others by offering advice and teaching music production classes. His extensive discography and production style reflect his DJing ethos: tight, thunderous, and brimming with energy. Collaborating with countless techno legends further enriched his journey, leading to performances at iconic events across the globe.

After relocating to Berlin, Patrick deepened his craft by founding Neptune Mastering, where his intimate knowledge of sound systems and dance floor dynamics ensures every record he masters delivers precision and impact. His dedication to perfecting the techno sound has cemented his reputation as a trusted engineer and producer.
