Volster has been making a name for himself as an artist dedicated to the groove, delivering consistent quality both in terms of music and events. His "all hands on deck" approach has him involved in the entire process, from producing the bangers to playing the decks in the club as well as planning the parties themselves. His efforts have spawned two promising labels, Secession and Out of Place, pushing his style of warm, organic, mlnimalistic techno.  It is a style he grew up enjoying during the 90's and has refined since then, picking up certain elements and refining others, until he found the sound he can finally call his own. Labels like Edit Select or Vakuum have already signed his work, and many more are certainly to come. The croatian maestro has been all over Europe playing in some of the best clubs, even Berghain, and has build up the successful "TRAUM" party series, hosting some of the best artists in the game. Listen in to hear what two decades of refining your craft sounds like!

Originally from Kyiv in Ukraine, Cook started with producing minimal techno under his first alias - Freeker5. With his first release as Yan Cook in 2011, his sound immediately got deeper and more atmospheric - leaving behind the pacey, dry sound design that he produced as Freeker5. Since, Yan Cook has been putting music out very regularly - often 5 or 6 releases a year. 

With a sound meant for darkly lit clubs, Yan Cook’s work proves to be useful in a variety of atmospheres within that world - small or large capacity, no matter which city.

On January 22nd I played my only gig in January, yes, thanks to the omicron wave we had to deal with loads of cancellations once more beginning of this year. But I do think this pandemic is soon over, the world opens up again and we will see us more and more on the dance floor. Nevertheless that one gig that I played in January was an absolute treat. It was for @blackworksclub at the venue La Rivera in Madrid and I am not sure exactly what it was, but the night was a total blast. What a crowd! For those who were there and read this now, thanks so much for those awesome vibes! You went totally wild, jumped on top of each other and didn’t stop raving and smiling, not even only for a minute. What an energy in that place, kind of made up for all the non happening gigs that month. Thank you so much. I hope that comes across in the recording. This is the second of three hours that I played there, hope you enjoy the set!
