Invictus, meaning “unconquerable” or “undefeated” in Latin, is a poem written by William Ernest Henley. This poem is about courage in the face of death, and holding on to one's own dignity despite the indignities life places before us. This track along with the track ‘Invictus’ were originally written for a short film of the same name by director David Newton. This musical direction was also heavily inspired by many walks I went on to a nearby National Trust park, during the covid pandemic Lockdown.
