Drummer from Ogden Utah. I also play guitar for fun. I just love learning some of my favorite tunes.

Calgary native, Lana Henchell, obtained her Doctoral degree in piano performance from McGill University under the tutelage of Richard Raymond. She received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in piano performance with Marilyn Engle at the University of Calgary. She has been the recipient of severals awards and grants from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, the Canada Council for the Arts, the Max Stern Foundation and the Calgary Kiwanis Music Festival (Rose Bowl, 1994). 
Henchell made her orchestral debut with the Calgary Civic Symphony at the age of 13 and has since performed as soloist with several orchestras including the University of Calgary Orchestra, the Calgary Civic Symphony, the Montreal Chamber Orchestra and the McGill Symphony. Most recently, she performed in Portugal with the Orquestra Classica do Centro under Maestro Jose Eduardo Gomes as a result of winning the Piano Duo Special Prize with pianist, Carmen Morin at the 2018 Coimbra World Piano Competition.
In addition to performances in France (L’Academie Musicale Internationale) and Portugal (Coimbra World Piano Meeting), Henchell has played concerts in Ottawa for the Alberta Scene music festival (CBC Radio Two) and has toured across Canada as a result of winning the Eckhardt-Gramatté National Piano Competition. Since, Henchell has focussed primarily on the contemporary idiom, including frequent projects with several local artists. Her recording of the world premiere of 24 Preludes by William Jordan is currently on Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music and YouTube. 
In addition to performing, Henchell teaches privately and at the University of Calgary. In 2016, she spearheaded the program, Soundboard Music Tour, which offers touring opportunities to aspiring musicians and brings music to remote areas across Alberta. She is also an avid adjudicator, offering masterclasses and clinics around the province. She has served as a juror for the Honens ProAm Piano Competition and the Canadian Music Competitions, held across Canada.
