Shelflife presents the new single "Laura Palmer" from The Luxembourg Signal available June 23rd on limited edition 7" vinyl and digital formats. 

With the release of their first single and debut album on Shelflife in 2014, The Luxembourg Signal quickly found a loyal following among fans of dream pop/indie pop music, and received enthusiastic reviews for their pop sensibilities, angelic vocals and lush soundscapes. Since the debut release, the band's lineup of Beth Arzy & Betsy Moyer (vocals), Johnny Joyner (guitars), Brian Espinosa (drums) and Ginny Pitchford (keyboards) has been expanded with the addition of Kelly Davis (guitars) and Daniel Kumiega (bass). 

The seven-piece played a handful of shows in the UK and Europe in the summer of 2015 to promote their debut album, including a Sunday evening performance at Indietracks that many cited as one of the highlights of the weekend. 2015 also saw the release of a split 7" single with Soft Science (Test Pattern Records), which featured a remix of Dying Star by Robert Hampson (Loop/Main). 

The band returned to the studio in 2016 to complete their second full length Blue Field coming out this fall on Shelflife and Kleine Untergrund Schallplatten. "Laura Palmer" is the first single from the album and one of our favorite tracks of the year. The b-side is a special cover version of "Let's Make Some Plans" by the Close Lobsters. 

The Luxembourg Signal will be playing various dates in Germany (TBA) in September 2017 as well as The Paris Pop Fest on Friday September 22, 2017.

Jules Camp is an 18-year-old songwriter. She was born and raised in the city of Grand Rapids, Michigan. 

Throughout her childhood, Jules started to pick up and teach herself different instruments. By the time she was 16, she knew how to play 8 total. 

She has been writing and recording her own music since she was 13, as well in being in over 5 different bands in the last 2 years. 

Most would say the music she writes has a indie-alternative vibe to it. Her most recent album, Contribute to the Chaos, holds memories of childhood and regret, as well as love and loss.

ekin fil is the acclaimed drone-pop chanteuse working with the sparest of materials in her ethereal, shoegaze deconstructions. her sound developed out of a healthy obsession with cranes, cocteau twins, slowdive and many other bands that she discovered in the tattered back issues of nme and the home-dubbed tapes that were passed around when she was growing up in turkey. upon a fortuitous invitation to perform alongside grouper in istanbul in the late oughts, ekin fil (nee ekin üzeltüzenci) began producing a series of hidden gems in the drone-rock underworld through releases on root strata, students of decay, bathetic and no kings. ghosts inside continues to find ekin coaxing somber melodies out of echo, shadow and whisper, even as she expands her arrangements to include piano and keyboards to accompany the guitar, voice and array of pedals that had been front and central on her previous recordings. 

ghosts inside stands as her most arresting recordings to date, written during a period of personal despair with an oblique poetry of sadness cascading through the songs. her father battling cancer. the end of a romance. it's an introspective sound, completely turned in on itself and tuning out the socio-political tumult of her native home in istanbul. in confronting psychic distress, heartache and depression, ekin fil blocks out the rest of the world to concentrate on the immediate issues of human relationships and their many complications. allusions to catharsis flicker through the sullen, narcotized beauty of ghosts inside, updating the mood found on those classic 4ad albums of the '80s (i.e. garlands, it'll end in tears, lonely is an eyesore, etc.) orbiting the spheres of grouper, lovesliescrushing and stars of the lid.
