Rio Grande

I heard this song first with the great Van Morrison. "Van the Man" has always been great inspiration for me through the years. He's the reason why I started to take singing seriously.
I also like these bitter sweet lyrics, written by Irish poet Patrick Kavanagh. The beautiful melody is much older, originally called "By the dawning of the day".

Christmas Blues - collaboration with Dave Todd (UK Man)

This is my version of "Famous Blue Raincoat", written by Leonard Cohen. It was released in 1971 on the album "Songs Of Love And Hate"
I tried to keep the arrangement as simple as I could with just two guitars and strings. Cohen is a great inspiration for me, and I hope that I'm able to make some justice to this masterpiece.

This is my cover of the song "Svalkar Vinden" by Svenska Björnstammen. 
I was asked if I could perform this on a funeral some time ago. At first I was not sure if I could make the song justice with only voice and guitar. However, I gave it a go... 
On this recording my onemanband supports me with some mandolin, bass, strings and tenorguitar.

When I first heard this song with Adele I didn't know it was a Dylan song. I really think she did a great job with this fine ballad... And she has inspired me to record this version.

Birger Sjöberg (1885-1929) wrote this song. It is about a young man working in a groceryshop in a small town somewhere in Sweden. He is quite bored and spending his days with dreaming about Italy.

I asked www.soundcloud.com/franmalbran if he liked to collaborate with me on the classic blues "Love in vain", by the legendary Robert Johnson. To my delight he wanted to join me :-)) So I went on and sent him a simple recording with my acoustic guitar. I just expected to get a little bit of piano back that possibly could suit my basic  playing-------- But what he returned to me was so much more.! A dynamic jazz and blues explosion that totally changed the direction of the song!  And I really must say that  am very graterful for that. I also must say that it was such a joyful experience to follow on the thrilling journey that Fran's piano playing invited me to :-)) --------- We sing the song together. And to his piano I have contributed with bass, crossharp and distorted stringbending--------------- Would also be nice to get comments on the mix, as it sometimes feels like I don't know what I am doing when I try to get the levels right with my confuesd brain ;-// Thank you.
