The Dennis McCalmont Band have just Released 'Suffocate' a Rockin' Track from their forthcoming Album. Check it out here on Soundcloud. The band includes fellow Soundclouders Michael Buckton #Guitar, Craig Donaldson #Bass, and Donal Hoban #Drums                                                                      Having just had his Seasonal 'Christmas Time Again' reach the Irish National Airwaves and be included on the high-profile 'Combat Radio' Christmas Album in #LA, The Newly Released 'Forevermore' sees Mayo-based Dennis McCalmont return to his Singer/Songwriter Roots.                                                   An Album of 12 Original Tracks (46mins) hears McCalmont at times backed by a full Band, with Musical inputs throughout the Album by Craig Donaldson on Bass, Donal Hoban on Drums, John Flatley on Piano and Tony Bambrick on Tremelo Guitars. Other Songs featured are pared right back to just Vocals and Guitar including 'Sleep Forever' which came to the attention of UK based EGH Radio and they have included McCalmont's Track on a Best Of EGH Indie Compilation.                                                                                                     'Forevermore' expresses Hope amid themes of Love, Life and Loss, to which McCalmont brings his own Personal intensity. This Album covers many Musical genres including Folk, Ballad, Blues & Singer/Songwriter and is much more Introspective in it's approach. On Listening It's clear that McCalmont's intention here is a hopeful reflection on the trials of Life. I owe much of my presence in music now to Paul Kossoff's Guitar Solo on Free's 'All Right Now' That raw sound and emotion blasting out of an old radio, had a great impact on me as a child.

That was my Musical Moment!

For years after, i sang in School Choirs.        In my Teens i was the Drummer in the band, then i lifted the Guitar learned a few chords and became the Singer/Guitarist in the band!

These days it's just myself and my trusty Canadian S&P 12 String on the road Gigging!

In the four decades since hearing 'Free', i have enjoyed a wide and varied mix of musical styles.This is very much reflected in my own writing and composing.

I enjoy the challenge of being a home Recording Artist, using Mbox with Pro Tools.
 
I like the concept of Soundcloud, the musical Sharing and Caring etc, but i'm also a realist.

i am only one of many sounds that make a Soundcloud!
