Gentle/Melodic tracks

Instrumental. It started off from a simple idea about having a 2 note bassline, (and only 2 notes, but they could be moved around). Of course, this rapidly became not the bassline as you will hear, and things evolved.....

I Believe Everything Can Be Explained, Just Not Today

Instrumental. Part of my musical journey in recent years has been with the AE Modular synth by Tangible Waves. Part of the enjoyment is a great community on the user forum and an example of this is a member releasing a free sample pack. All sounds used in this song are from that sample pack, I believe they are all from the AE modular but don't know for sure.

Together, We Can Be Terrifying

Instrumental.  I've recently spent a bit of time playing with arpeggios, and they have made it into several recent tracks. This track is almost wholly around 1 arp  which is transposed a couple of times, and there is one variation of each. Then there are a few "break" bars with different bits and bobs. The arrangement came together after I added the melody/lead lines so there is a gentle build through the piece, hope you enjoy.

The Last Call Of Medieval Bells, by Patterns of Life

Instrumental, started out just as a simple idea to gradually raise the pitch of the main melodic sound, then wanting to play with FX on the composition generated a few more ideas and here you go. Completed wholly within the Akai MPC1.

Instrumental, trying to vary my sound a little, not sure I succeeded but good fun as a break from sorting out my rearranged studio - I suspect that will now never be finished as I can use it again!

Uneccessary Evil, by Patterns of LIfe

This started from a snare sound I liked on a new synth; felt a lo & slow tempo showed it off best and things trundled on from there. Also used one of my oldest synths in this song for the first time in ages,  must do some sound programming with it again....
