IT'S LATE

Hailing from Seattle, Korean-American artist @fugal expresses both dynamism and nuance. As part of the @secondnatureseattle collective, he’s one of the driving forces behind a string of renowned events in Seattle and the US, as well as an impressive young label which has seen contributions from fellow secondnature residents @archivistseattle and @simictacoma, along with @smoreira and Svreca (@semantica-records).

Now based in Berlin, Fugal has continued to refine his rhythmic, emotive sound, with gigs across Berlin and abroad. On the production front, 2017/18 has proven to be a fruitful period, with a recent co-release with Archivist on @volte_face_bleed’s BleeD imprint, and his sophomore secondnature release coming up in mid-February.

With his contribution to the Patterns of Perception mix series, Fugal has taken a measured approach, veering away from more functional dancefloor sounds, and instead drawing inspiration from the warmth found amongst the grey Berlin winter. Toeing the line between experimental sounds and deep techno, Fugal’s mix delves into the intricate - focusing on musical phrases and creative transitions between widely varying tempos.

Elle tries to make it's journey between tight and percussive breaks, articulated soundscapes with dark and deep approach. Was born in south Italy, travelled around the world and released music on some of the most exciting deep techno underground labels, like Hypnus Records and Annulled Music.

This is my quarantine in a nutshell. 
Lots of different emotions, forced introspective times, some meditation and the unavoidable repetetition of a self healing, yet imperfect, loop.
This is a simulated cinematic trip that tries to go through all those emotions and aims to re-shape them into sound, with a dynamic approach, finding a way to be channeled. Consequently, it ends up being a weird, kinda eclectic selection of tracks I wouldn't usually play at the dancefloor, but I personally love.

Le son de Lara Palmer, basé à Berlin, oscille quelque part entre des atmosphères oniriques, des grooves sombres et hypnotiques et une techno sincère. Elle a amené ses sélections dans des clubs en Allemagne et en Norvège, en février 2020, elle fait ses débuts à l'illustre club Tresor de Berlin. Lara est également écrivaine et résidente de Monument, la plateforme de musique techno basée à Oslo.

Berlin-based Lara Palmer's sound oscillates somewhere between dreamy atmospheres, dark, hypnotic grooves, and straightforward techno. She has brought her selections to clubs in Germany and Norway, and in February 2020 she debuted at the illustrious Tresor in Berlin. Lara is also a writer and resident for the Oslo-based techno music platform, community, and event series Monument.

A broken banger from the very strong release on @ufoseries, and a lovely slice of deepness by @danieli_whs on another new label discovery - @lowless-music. (thx James @jonnoandtommo). Yet another breathtaking track from Versalife @conforce, taken from his EP on @2020visionrecordings. Both sides of the amazing recent VC-118A @mohlao release on @delsinrecords.
