It's an honor to welcome Amsterdam's Loek Frey to our series, whose meticulous attention to detail and eminent experimentalism command the mind's attention like no other. The OQAD label head and Omen Wapta collaborator invites us to peer delicately beyond the edge, unveiling a hyperintense, subsonic blur through which a primordial palette begins to emerge. Next up in our mix series is Innersha, hailing from Yerevan, Armenia. As an initiator in the local raving scene and a co-founder of the dk.tsk collective, her artistic development has been significantly shaped by the communal music experience. Innersha is a relatively new face to the scene, with her debut EP just last October, on Polygonias label ‘QEONE’. In the short time she has already carved her sound, and with upcoming performances at the iconic Macadam and pe:rsona festival this summer. Innersha also contributed with a track on the freshly released '8 Years of Ute' CD, which dropped this week.

For this episode, Innersha shares a live recording from her set at the Omen Wapta Weekender at Garage Noord in Amsterdam in April. The mix is a raw, heads-down excursion into hypnotic territory, full of shifting patterns, deep pulses, and high pace. Capturing the energy of a packed room in motion, the set balances intensity with restraint, showcasing Innersha’s ability to hold tension and guide a narrative across the arc of a live performance.

Through chaos, cathartic soundscapes, and monolithic grooves, we are excited to introduce Marco Maldarella — @marcomaldarella — for this new episode. Producer and selector based in Bologna, Marco co-founded @sinestesie_s event and mix series. His project is rooted in a multidimensional approach, known for his collaboration with Christian Duka as MARMO, and his solo album Clinamen, released on @omenwapta.

At the crossroads of deep psychedelic techno and tribal sounds, Marco Maldarella dives into the depths of modern electronic music with a fast-paced and intense sonic signature.

For this mix, Marco delivers a raw tribe fast trance experience, where psychedelic elements collide with a dark groove reminiscent of ancient times. Drones, noise, and otherworldly voices define his unique style. The result is an intimate, introspective, and mental journey, featuring many of unreleased tracks.

Rising from the shadows comes a 90-minute blend of hang-tough beats for this latest in the Bassiani Podcast series. This one comes by way of Kaytseng, a Taiwanese transplant in the Netherlands who cut her teeth down under while playing Melbourne’s local circuit. Though the Amsterdam relocation’s only two years old, the move’s already budding a promising path for her sinister sound and bringing her into the European techno fold. Think merciless fast-trance, gritty and thrashing sounds that pack a punch with every beat, it’s a measure of brutal craftwork for footloose and die-hard raving, tough and highly physical. Her warpspeed tempos are racking up a following, and her Berghain debut as part of the CRUDE roster’s reared a long-term residency with the Berlin label to boot. Her sets are fun and quick on the draw and this latest one’s not afraid to show it. Kaytseng delivers an hour and a half of pulse-quickening rhythms that ramp up and roll to the hilt for Bassiani Podcast 262, rattling clicks and primeval bass, apocalypse ready techno that’s breathing fresh life into the global scene. The future of sound is fast approaching and this Taiwan selector’s both emergent defender and catalysing force.
