Brussels-based DJ and producer a. brehme crafts hypnotic techno and house with seductive grooves, always aimed at the dancefloor. With nearly 20 years of experience, he guides listeners through the psychedelic spectrum of club music, earning a solid reputation across Europe, Asia, and the US.

For our fourth release, we welcome Basel-based producer Ben Kaczor. ‘To Baby Bones’ showcases the tracks produced as part of Ben’s first live set presented at Above Below Festival in 2024. 

Written as a homage to a loved one, the title track of the EP is a gentle soundscape traveling through memories and subtle body shivers, far away yet never out of heart’s reach. ‘Bridge’, as if hung high above, suffuses the air with a thick emotional haze, lifting slowly as a walk along a fragile structure ends. Wistfully transforming present into past, ‘This Blue Light’ melds with the orange glow of the sun and dissolves into a white cloud. Driving and fizzy 'Punchbag’ brings all the dreamers down to earth. Immersing them straight into the buzzing front left, it buoyantly concludes an ode to the melody of life and the joy of a loving heart — To Baby Bones.

The day after our first night at Club Raum, we hosted a listening session at our Amsterdam home base Noord Space to softly land. In an intimate setting, Erik Luebs offered listeners a unique live performance created for this moment. Seated in front of his instruments, Erik made time stop and created communion. This recording captures perfectly what we experienced, and we hope that you will feel it too.

We’re opening our new mixtape series Umwege — a dedication to the detours, connections, and encounters that shaped a year spent traveling through Germany’s dance music landscape.

For the first edition, we’re joined by TILS (@tils303), an upcoming artist from Haan, a small city between Düsseldorf and Wuppertal. Recently, he has been making a name for himself in NRW’s dance music scene with his DJ sets and music productions. His debut release just landed on Victor’s imprint Magic Power, marking the beginning of a promising journey.

Helsinki raised, Paris based Jeku is know for his trippy, psy-infused rhythms, expertly crafted to compel movement and progressively elevate the senses.

With acclaimed releases on labels like Craigie Knowes, Haŵs, and Avoidance, and his most recent EP ‘Twisted Utopia’ on Harmony Records, Jeku continues to push the boundaries of contemporary electronic music.

About the mix: "This mix is heavily inspired by my recent experiences at Pe:rsona and Ozora festivals, which I attended back-to back straight from one to the other. I found a resurgence in deeper and slowly evolving sets which felt so fresh I wanted to channel that energy into this mix. Best enjoyed outdoors or afters!"

For the September edition of our mix series, we welcome Detroit artist 2lanes. His love for music began early through drumming, and he started crafting his first beats on an MPC with floppy disks while living in New York.

Shaped by his first rave experiences in New York and the energy of Detroit’s scene, 2lanes brings a pristine and immersive sound. His music often acts as a visualization of environments and stories. Whether it’s the outline of characteristic buildings in his city or tales from friends about raves, he imagines what those buildings or moments would sound like in music.

The recording he created for us takes inspiration from the many forest and outdoor festivals he has attended recently, as well as his love for extended blends of deep techno. The result is a journey that pulls you in from the very first moment and lets you drift effortlessly into the woods.

This week's animix comes from the incredible duo, Atrice (@atricemiras) - a mystical pairing who are part of a pool of insanely talented artists in the small Central European state, Switzerland -  there is a seemingly bursting ratio of talent per capita in this country!.

Drawing inspiration from everyday encounters and digital overstimulation, Atrice's music is refreshing, unique and modern - idm, experimental & bass driven - it somehow also sits perfectly amongst the class & purity of old school & solidified genres like dub, bass, techno - which is seen in their releases on labels like Illian Tape. 

On top of their productions and live sets, Lino & Pablo extend their craft with their on theme DJ'ing - always presenting new & exciting.. and always making perfect sense. For their animix, a beautiful journey through dub and beyond.

@volte_face_bleed has emerged as a key figure in London’s techno scene and beyond, thanks to an impressive list of releases on his label BleeD Music, collaborations with artists like @danielavery and @blind-observatory, and the diverse, deep DJ sets which remain the staple of his work.

Recorded at our March 2017 party, his expansive set covers a lot of ground, ranging from deep, lush techno to trippy acid and dub. We couldn’t be more excited to share it with you.
