— Artist Intro —

London-based Ario is a practitioner of deep and inquisitive music both as a DJ and curator of his label Astral Industries. 
Although his remit falls within the deeper shades of electronic music, his overall aesthetic draws on a broader spectrum that prizes the synthesis of both instrumental and electronic disciplines. 
Depending on context, he traverses the lines and forms between the ambient and techno worlds. What is common in each, however, is his alchemic handling of rich organicism mixed with darker, more austere sounds. 
Speaking with an emotive sensitivity, there is a certain self-awareness that permeates his crafted soundscapes, which are as much drone inspired as they are psychedelic and nature-driven.

Meet our beloved Natasha, or as she's affectionately known, Mandarin. Her musical journey began in the gloomy Balkans, where she developed an unbreakable bond with UK bass music. Always searching for the next beat to move her soul, Mandarin continued the journey on the sunny shores of Barcelona and recently in the eclectic and avant-garde scene of Berlin, where she became the mother of Giegling (& friends) online community.

London-born, LA-based Ryan Griffin began @astrangelyisolatedplace a decade ago as a manifestation of his love for collecting and sharing music. The project soon grew into a vinyl label and a community of artists sharing a reverence for a diverse and esoteric range of genres, from ambient to electronica, modern classical to techno. Artists releasing on the label currently include Merrin Karras aka @chymera, Arovane (@arovane-1), Leandro Fresco & Rafael Anton Irisarri (@irisarri), @purl, and @markusguentner.

This atmospheric selection incorporates into A Strangely Isolated Place's signature sound additional elements of the trance and house music genres on which Ryan cut his DJing teeth. An organic approach to selection and mixing ensures a richly layered collage that manages to take some startling turns while remaining effortlessly cohesive throughout.
