Behold, dear seeker of truth, for the hour of reckoning, draws nigh. The winds of change whisper in our ears, urging us to venture forth and explore the mysteries that lie beyond the veil of our mundane reality.
With our 6th Vision, we call forth the enigmatic Âsan, a sage of great renown who has delved deep into the esoteric knowledge of ages past. Through his guidance, we are taken on a journey beyond the boundaries of our waking consciousness into the very depths of the soul.
In this state of heightened awareness, Âsan peels away the layers of illusion that obscure our Vision, revealing the realms that lie beyond our grasp. And as we bear witness to the unfathomable wonders that unfold before our eyes, we are forever transformed, transcending the limits of our intellect and awakening dormant parts of our being that we never knew existed.
Through this process of enlightenment, we come to know the omnipresent power that guides us towards our ultimate destiny. With every step we take, we are led closer to our eternal ending, where we shall finally lay down our burdens and bask in the radiance of the divine. Music is important, but even more important is the community that enables moments of wonderful connection, in a beautiful place or space, with beautiful friends both old and new. Albert, based in Brooklyn, New York, is one of those heroes that never requests a spotlight, but is consistently dedicating time and care to contribute to some of the spaces and places that the NYC & Brooklyn house and techno community holds so dear. 

Throwing long standing and much loved parties like Bob & Shirley, working tirelessly behind the scenes at a festival that has garnered global critical acclaim, throwing down all night long at Mansions, or as an always welcome and smiling face on a sun lit dance floor, Albert (Ash) has been continuously refining her DJing craft, and we couldn't be more excited to share a slice of it with you for Doof Spawn 012.

"On the second night of the festival, a usually quiet Nordic forest hums with life. A slow, steady rhythm starts the set, drawing dancers into a hypnotic flow as the misty summer air lingers and the trees sway around them. As the night deepens, the music builds—layered and psychedelic—until it reaches a peak where time blurs and everything feels slightly unreal."

The 24th edition of the Patterns of Perception mix series comes from the Australian duo @albrecht-labrooy. Hailing from Melbourne, Alex Albrecht and Sean La'Brooy form a unique live act – one that’s often improvised and takes inspiration from the performances of the jazz greats. Inspired by a recent visit to Berlin and the organic techno sounds they encountered, their slow-building yet captivating contribution to our mix series is a fully improvised live set recorded in a single take.
