As a co-curator and resident DJ of Patterns of Perception, Steve Duncan aims to always infuse a sense of vibrancy and diversity into the sonic palette of his sets and musical offerings. A focus on rhythm and narrative allows him to traverse a range of sounds and moods, and challenges him to continually dig and refine his musical vision.

With Patterns of Perception 42 - his second outing since the very first edition some two and half years ago - Steve has created a soundscape filled with slow grooves, rough textures and vibrant interjections. It seeks to bridge home listening and dancefloor sensibilities, with driving moments countered with contemplative experimental pieces.
