She stands there, in the midst of a place that’s hard to grasp – just a stage for the moment, for the music softly flowing through the air. Wrapped in colors that shimmer in the light around her, she wears her eyeshadow like a secret. A touch of gold, a glimmer of violet, the tones of the melody seem to reflect in the shades of her eyes. It’s as if the music, with each gentle beat, reveals more of her soul.

Her gaze catches yours, and for a moment, the world seems to stand still. The music wraps around you both, like an invisible thread, with every note flowing through your bodies. The colors on her eyelids seem to dance, shifting with every beat, becoming more intense, more alluring. Her face remains half in shadow, yet the light keeps capturing details – her eyes slowly closing, only to meet yours again moments later.

The melody drifting through the room is soft and sensual. It clings to you like a second skin, merging with the warmth of the colors that play around her gaze. Every note is a whisper, blending into the silence of the moment, a promise unspoken yet felt. It’s the kind of music that’s not just heard but felt – vibrating deep within you, just like the tension hanging in the air.

The beams of light dancing across her face bring her eyeshadow to life. At times bright and vivid, then dark and mysterious, just like the melody that constantly shifts, never fully graspable, but always seductive. You’re caught, not just by the music, but by her gaze, hidden beneath the veil of colors and light. She says nothing, but the music speaks for her, revealing what remains concealed.

In this moment, there’s only her, the music, and the colors that wrap around you both. The place fades, the world around you becomes insignificant – all that remains is the melody that binds you, and the gaze that holds you. You can’t escape the spell, nor do you want to. Oud Awwad - Hotel California (Arabic Oud)

I enjoy composing, arranging and recording music on an ever-expanding array of guitars, especially Fender electrics and Martin acoustics.  My musical journey began more than half a century ago, and every day brings new opportunities for continued growth as a musician.  My current leading influences include Jim Campilongo, Scotty Anderson and Guthrie Trapp.  I love Beethoven, Keith Richards, Henry Mancini, Aretha Franklin and a thousand others whose music has brought me joy, whether for many decades or for a few minutes.  I strive to learn something from every piece of music that I hear, and to make music that others will enjoy hearing.

I'm an amateur DIYer in terms of recording, doing everything in my music space at home and learning as I go.  I enjoy experimenting with a variety of microphones and mic placements, recording into a Zoom R16 and using Audacity as my DAW.  I use an array of Fender tube amps, all blackface/silverface reissues, and a modest pedal board.  I record acoustic instruments either with condenser microphones directly on the instruments or else amped through a Fishman Loudbox Mini.
